Spectacular conclusion to a terrific trilogy,

This review is from: The Revealing: The Time Is Now (Nephilim Series Vol. 3) (Paperback)
This entire series was uniquely creative and all 3 books held my interest completely. I wouldn't have thought all the loose ends and unanswered questions could be wrapped up so nicely in The Revealing. That alien invasion could be the Great Deception of the Bible is plausible, though never what I had imagined. (I always thought the Great Deception would be secular humanism--and I still think so....but this is still great fiction no matter what your beliefs.) The aliens are actually demons in this story. This premise could have resulted in a ridiculously unbelievable book, but that is not the case here. This is a story you can really get into; a real treat to read. It is very well-written and action packed. I can honestly say there's never a dull moment in the whole trilogy. The characterization was not exceptional, but pretty good for a plot-based novel. I recommend buying all 3 in the series at once, so you can progress from one to the next without having to wait!

The two best things you can say about a Book are; One, I could not out it down and Two, I want more (I smell another trilogy coming). The reveling; The Time Is Now is the third book is L.A. Marzulli's Nephilim series. All three books (Nephilim; The Unholy Deception and The reveling) are excellent, action packed and are a very exciting read's.
Without giving too much of the plot of the series away, lets just say that this series is the X-files meets the Holy Bible. Marzulli Bases the series on The Bible especially the book Of Genesis chapter 6; the BOOK of Jude; many of the Biblical prophecy's such as those in the Book of Daniel, Ezekiel (especially Chapters 38-39); Matthew (chapter 24) the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ; and on the extra biblical book, the book of Enoch. Even those this series is fiction it contains much truth and just may be blueprint of things to come. Its an exciting Sci Fi (more then Sci Fi) read and I would recommend it to all.

Once again Marzulli has provided us with a fast paced thriller complete with new characters. Fitzpatrick is a welcome addition to the Nephilim universe. His encounter with Sene will chill you to the bone.
This one has it all. Action, political intrigue, religious themes, and inspirational overtones.

LA Marzulli, The Revealing (Zondervan, 2004)
I am desperately confused. First, the Nephilim books were billed as a trilogy. Then came The Revealing, the cover of which changes the nomenclature to "The Nephilim Series." And then you get to the end of The Revealing, and it begs a book four. Then you go to L. A. Marzulli's website... and it still says trilogy. Marzulli, you can't be that mean. Can you? The Revealing opens not long after the events in Yemen that closed Unholy Deception. Mac and Johanen have to stop the Cadre from arranging the birth of the Antichrist. They managed to stop the major events of book two, but Al-Jazeera (of course) still managed to get some footage, and so everyone's still talking about the reappearance of the Bethlehem Star. Things are still headed for the end times, and Mac and Johanen are still trying to get in the Cadre's way. Before you get to the end of the book, the most confusing thing about it is that characters from book two are either marginalized or disappear altogether from book three. Uri, who played such an important role in the first two books, only gets a few scenes; Mac's wife gets mentioned a few times, but gets no screen time; Roswell's daughter has disappeared without a trace. (For the first fifty pages or so, I had confused Nora, a new character in this book, with Roswell's daughter, whose name I can't recall.) But still, the action is satisfying, and the story cnotinues, though a good deal of things seem to be happening off-screen; much of the first two-thirds or so of the book feels like setup for something much bigger than this (in other words, a fourth book. You hear me, Mr. Marzulli?) As a result, the book carries over the feel from Unholy Deception of middle-book doldrums-- a curable affliction, certainly, as long as there's a satisfying ending. What we have here is most assuredly not satisfying at all. Can't say what happens at the end without spoilers, but I can say that there is no resolution whatsoever to be had here. MacKenzie and Johanen, and their new pal Brian Fitzpatrick, have a whole lot to do as this book ends-- and so does the rest of the world. In fact, things are just gearing up for an all-out orgy of apocalyptic, messianic wordsmithing when this book ends. And... it just ends. I'm rating this one under the assumption that there will be a book four. If there's not, knock two stars off. ***

This book is very exciting and captivating. A real page turner. I enjoyed it very much. The ending was not very satisfying for me. However the end is yet to be seen.

Marzulli's `The Revealing' Delivers Real Suspense
By Thomas Horn RNU News Sr. Reporter Published Friday November 26, 2004 Sisters, Oregon (RNS) - When I grow up I want to be a master storyteller, like Lynn Marzulli is. As one of Christendom's most prolific fiction writers he has delivered another slice of doomsday suspense that boils into a page-turning nail-biter. In, "The Revealing," the story picks up with former reporter Art "Mac" Mackenzie, and Johanen, his spiritual mentor, as a mysterious shining light-thought by many to be a reemergence of the Bethlehem Star-appears over Jerusalem. Within days Mac and his comrades are surrounded by the minions of Azazel, a Jekyl-and-Hyde shape-shifting demon, who thrusts them-and the world-into a terrifying battle for survival against the diabolical organization known as the Cadre. The light above the Holy Land portends well for Azazel, but why? On the way to finding out, we encounter the astonishingly creepy and succubus-like creature, Sene, as she seduces one of the series' most interesting newcomers, Fitzpatrick. This is just one of Marzulli's chapters that will raise the hair on the back of your neck. As the plot thickens and we are drawn into an increasingly complex web of intrigue, a secret community of homeless men and women are uncovered living beneath the streets of New York. A sense of impending terror arises in this subterranean world known as "the Condos" as Jamaican transient, Rastaman, is discovered severely burned. When questioned about what happened, he nervously points below ground, groaning, "Sometin' got to me, mon, down there.... Some kin' of monster.... There's sometin' comin' up from da deep places in da earth." The mysterious entity that attacked Rastaman, is later manifest in a church where readers discover its true identity. Johanen warns Mac and Thomas to stay behind him as he confronts the creature, admonishing them that, "whatever happens, don't look into its eyes." Guided by Johanen, Mac comes to understand that saving the world depends not only on stopping this thing but also upon recovering a missing disc and deciphering the sudden mysterious deaths of Vatican officials. As the world readies for the appearing of Antichrist, shadowy ingredients began falling barn-fire fast into twists, turns, scares and surprises that take our breath away, while the author weaves his masterful series into a chilling conclusion between extraordinary centuries-old powers. You know that old saying that "a sequel is never as good as the original"? Lynn Marzulli must have skipped that class because The Revealing is a tour de force, a climactic encounter in every way as riveting as the first two books of the Nephilim Series - and they were terrific!

I bought all three books together and it was a "can't put them down" type weekend. Mr. Marzulli did an excellent job of providing me with a captivating story an well as a topic, from a non fiction view, that needs serious thought and prayer, and this makes it priceless. But, it is a fiction trilogy and I was disappointed beyond words in this last book, when most of the characters I had become emotionally involved with, just disappeared without a mention. Phase them out, kill them off, but give me some closure, don't leave me wondering. I enjoyed the new characters, but I did not get as emotionally involved. I did read it as fast as the others, but I think I was trying to hope each new chapter would bring my beloved characters from book 1 and 2 back. I hope he plans to write more and include the old characters. Even with this minor complaint, these are great reads.

This is the 3rd book in the trilogy of the Nephilim series by L.A. Marzulli. Publishes in 2004, this book is for today. Strange sites in the stars, The middle east in an uproar, Arab Armies massing for war, the Antichrist is about to emerge on the scene. These are headlines from our newspapers of today yet it was written 7 years ago. This maybe the last of this trilogy series, but I don't believe this story is finished...not just yet. A great book and an incredible adventure. What a ride and never a dull moment, exciting from start to finish. A must read for anyone interested in the Nephilim, the Watchers, or the supernatural.

L.A.Marzulli's 3rd book in the trilogy..
I recomend you read them in order..Suspencful,thought provoking.. These books all make you question what the preachers changed a major doctrin in 1888 by a man (con man) Darby started the rapture doctrine..He made alot of money telling folks that on this date you all will be raptured,so give me all your money because you won't need it in heaven..He made alot of raptures and would skip town before he'd be strung up. The rapture is Satans plan to decieve in these end times,so even the elect will believe there being raptured by angels...But its satan,Not Christ.
