5.0 out of 5 stars Monster debut album
Monster, monster, scaring debut album. Prashant is a terrific musician, one melodic, soulful enough to make you cry yet technical enough to discourage you, if you are a guitar player. Legato and modern guitar techniques at maximum level, excellent songwriting, catchy rhythm parts, great variety all around, wondeful modern high gain lead sound. What could we ask more to...

1.0 out of 5 stars 80s Virtuoso Guitar is Back!
Haven't heard guitar music this rockin' since the Steve Vai and John Satriani years. I'm a NYC dj who likes to experiement with new cool guitar-heavy tracks in between sets. Twilo and Limelight regulars love this stuff!

Everything required of great music making is here: production quality on par with that of E. Johnson; fresh, fast clean guitar licks and chops;...

What could we ask more to continue to love shred guitar music in 2003? Moreover Prashant has his own personality. Sure you can hear reminiscences of Greg Howe (his mentor) in his playing but sure Prashant is his own man. Th best debut album, the best guitar album, the best shred album of the last years. Just take a listen to the first two songs. You'll be knock out. You'll find yourself running around your town and surfing the net to find this masterpiece. It's not an easy task, but try!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album, August 20, 2002

This is the album that started it all. If you love absolutely beautiful guitar work, Revelation will be a religious experience. Prashant is a true craftsman, and this album is a work of art.

5.0 out of 5 stars Prashant is a force to be reckoned with, March 30, 2001

Prashant Aswani is unreal. His songs are bursting with creativity. His playing is completely melodic. He will gently lull you away with his wonderful tone, then fire you up with his amazing technique. His use of legato is along the line of Joe Satriani and Greg Howe. If you love instrumental music that moves you and that never gets old, buy Prashant Aswani's Revelation and Duality!

Simply put, this is a tremendous album. From the fast guitar licks to the complex layers of emotion, this is an astonishing debut album. I highly recommend this CD to any fan of clean, precise instrumental guitar work. Prashant's playing and composition rocks!

5.0 out of 5 stars Mark Huettman says..., June 12, 2008
This review is from: Revelation (Audio CD)
What an incredible player Prashant is! He delivers a full package of stylish jazz-rock shredding that bears a close resemblence to Greg Howe. And as a matter of fact Greg Howe produced this CD as well as playing the bass, drums, and several guitar solo's too. But it's not just Greg's influence that gives this CD it's sound. Prashant is the main man here.

The first song comes in very seductivly with a rhythm that makes you eagerly await the smooth lead tone that Prashant doesn't let you down with. The rest of the CD keeps your attention as all the solo's are smokin'. Among the songs here there is a cover of "Led Boots" and "Full Throttle" which also appears on Greg Howe's CD entitled "Ascend". Prashant sounds like a cross beetween Greg Howe and Brett Garsed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Revelation, July 4, 2000

I follow the guitar sceen closely, and Revelation is the best guitar-genre album I've heard in a very long time. It's filled with increadible licks, complexity, and emotion. You will not be disappointed with this album. I also highly recommend Prashant's second album "Duality". It's at the same intensity as "Revelation", but with a bit more maturity. Simply put -- they both rock like you wouldn't believe.

Everything required of great music making is here: production quality on par with that of E. Johnson; fresh, fast clean guitar licks and chops; kickin' real drums; slick, original song writing (especially on "Led Boots"), and an overall quality that spells promise for this progressive Italian rock duo.

Check it out, dudes!
