British writer KAREN TRAVISS received critical acclaim for her first novels City of Pearl, Crossing the Line, and The World Before, published by HarperCollins in the USA. A former defense correspondent and TV and newspaper journalist, Karen has also worked as a police press officer, an advertising copywriter and a journalism lecturer.
