Brutal hardcore from Erie, PA,

I am a big xdisciplex fan, so I was excited to see that they had a new cd coming out. The first time I heard it I thought it was decent, but nothing really stood out to me. Now it's one of my most played cds. It's freakin' awesome. The band really picked up the pace on this one in comparison to their previous release, "Heaven and Hell." It kind of goes back to the days of "No Blood, No Altar Now." The double kicks and the guitars are brutal and the vocals, while they may seem rough, fit in quite nicely. I also love the sing alongs in the middle of some of the songs. There's only 1 or 2 songs that I don't particulary like, but the rest are well worth it. If you want some straight up hardcore that will get you moving I highly recommend "The Revelation." It is my favorite xDisciplex release to date.

this is the best hardcore album to come out since MPB released nothing in vain. while so many bands are leaning towards emo-ness in their music, this cd is a half hour of non stop mosh with amazing breakdowns. if you like anything else by these guys, BUY THIS ALBUM NOW!!!! let poison the well and FATA have all the major attention they want, when xdx keeps true hardcore alive with this release.

THIS IS DISCIPLE! SAME BAND!,

For the guy who wrote before this, this is indeed the same band as disciple. Some of the members may be different, but the core of the group - the quiggle brothers (dave and dan) - are still there...making it the same band. These two are also the core members of the hardcore band SHOCKWAVE, who also released earlier works on belgium record label GOODLIFE RECORDINGS, which I believe also released the earlier disciple work. So yes, this is the same band. There's a lesson in hardcore history for ya.

ok first of all this cd is awesome!!
ok to the other people who wrote a review.... THIS IS NOT THE BAND Disciple!!!! this is a different band!! its called XDiscplex A.D!! not connected to Disciple!!! 2 different bands. both are good christian bands but dont let them being christian stop you from buying them. these guys have only made the cds "doxology" and "the revelation" ok? get it right. so if you were thinking "man i didnt really like Disciple" dont think that anymore these guys are NOT them. listen to the samples. Xdisciplex A.D is harder then Discple
