This is the best end-time Christian novel I've read! Period.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Revelations, Alpha and Omega (Paperback)
I've read this book and I've got to admit, it's very interesting. I'm not sure that I agree with everything the author claims to be the truth about mankind's past as it relates to the Bible, but he makes some very good arguments and they're very well supported. I can't for the life of me, figure out why anyone would only give this book one star. It's a great story and very well told. Even the author himself closes his own story by telling readers that he's only steering them in the direction of self-discovery and that to learn the rest of the truth to go and read the Bible or God's Word. In terms of ambition and scope, "Revelations" reminds me of early epic poems of Homer and Satyricon. Its episodic nature works quite well and I was caught up in every single story, from the story of creation, Satan's race of giants to the finale at Armageddon. The way the author tied modern-day circumstances with Bible prophecy is simply remarkable and frightening. His writing style is very cinematic in quality, with wonderfully descriptive passages. I loved the way he combined elements of science fiction, spiritualiy and even the Roswell story. It was very post-modern in tone. In conclusion, the story was great, ambitious, grand (and grandly entertaining), and a whirl-wind tour of the eternal battle between Satan and God. What an imagination! Five Stars!

Fiction or non-fiction... you decide!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Revelations, Alpha and Omega (Paperback)
I've read all of the "Left Behind" series and the "Christ Clone Trilogy." This two-part (but both are in the one book) story leaves them all behind! (Pardon the pun.) I had no idea that history and the Bible went together like this. Adam and Eve were buried in the Giza pyrmamids, which were built by the righteous seed of Seth... NOT the Egyptians. How did a handful of men do that? By faith that moves mountains. Jesus said we could command a mountain to cast itself into the sea and if we had enough faith, it would obey. If that doesn't seem far-fetched enough, the author cleverly reveals through the plot and his characters how he came about such startling conclusions and revelations. (Now I understand the title). The real shocker was that Lucifer is a living machine made in the image of the original pre-flood serpent that joins with four other living machines of gold (lion, eagle, ox, and man) and carries God's throne this way in the 3-D world. Talk about some ancient Power Rangers! I won't spoil anymore of the story. You've got to read this one. It even predicted the fall of the World Trade Towers and the attack on Washington DC and this story was originally copyrighted in 1999!

I jumped for joy after reading this book! Finally, all my doubts and my fears were conquered. It is true. I've known it since I was a little girl. But who could I tell? Who would have believed me? And now I see, there are others who know what I know.It all makes sense. At last, one can look back over time and see that our journeys here have not been in vain. There has been a Promise, a Purpose and a Destiny: the Alpha and the Omega.

Highly Entertaining Fantasy Fiction!,
By Anna Faye Morgan (Houston, Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Revelations, Alpha and Omega (Paperback)
Well written and fun, David Allen Rigsby presents a theory of history/mythology that starts from the Bible and includes everything but the kitchen sink. We have alien Grays, evil Freemasons, mechanical Cherubic Transformer robot Spaceships, the death of Anne Frank, the Pyramids and the Sphinx, the Flood, giants playing with dinosaurs, angel twins, Adam and Eve with no navels, Viking myth, the Fifth Planet's destruction, Egyptian obilisk-shaped ICBMs,the birth of the Swastika, God and His soul in a fascinating 2-way consultation, Easter Islands's statues, WWII, the Four Rivers of Eden and the breakup of Pangeia, the destruction of Atlantis and the origin of hurricanes. All this is cleverly woven into a Christian science fiction/space opera that make Velikovsky's cosmology look dull and Scientology's alien-origin myth look like a sophmore student essay. The history and mythology of *Revelations* is dubious at best - clearly gleaned from popular culture and tabloid-style "non fiction" books - but it's just so much FUN that I couldn't help being charmed, by everything from its mundane view of Angelic life to its ingenious inclusion of every current New Age trend except Feng Shui. Structurally, the script has problems (lack of focus on characters, pointless scenes, some pacing flaws) but it has a good visual sense and would make a highly entertaining fantasy film.

Controversial, intriguing,
By Gretchen Young (Albuquerque, NM United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Revelations, Alpha and Omega (Paperback)
Once you've finished reading this book, it'll doggedly haunt you. The screenplay format makes it easy to read and it flows pretty quickly, but this is certainly no warm-`n'-fuzzy religious piece. Whether or not you agree with Rigsby's assertions, you'll find yourself immersed in the ideas he presents in this meaty interpretation of the precarious intersections of history, politics and the horrifying warnings outlined in the Book of Revelations; this timely book will definitely inspire well-needed conversation and debate. Flop down on the couch with a steaming bowl of your favorite soup and prepare for a good read.

Revelations of half truths and deception,
By A Customer
This review is from: Revelations, Alpha and Omega (Paperback)
The format of the book is distracting and tedious. The book is written in a screenplay format, and jumps from scene to scene so quickly its difficult to grab hold of any type of plot or storyline. It is difficult to find the meaning behind the supposed fictional story of the end times. The conclusion of the book contains the author's admonition that he alone has figured out what all of the prophecy scriptures mean. The impression the reader gets from the conclusion is that this fictional story/screenplay is based on truth. The author, claiming to be an interpreter with the help of God's holy spirit, has found the true meaning of the prophecy scriptures. The author then describes the Native American Indians as being the Canaanites referenced in Genesis 10:18. He makes a vague reference to the Indian reservations of modern day. This is where the "truth" becomes difficult to fathom. What happened to the native American Indians was neither divinely set in place nor holy - it was merely another example of man's inhumanity to man. This is where the half truths become deceptive and highly questionable. I would not recommend this book.

don't be fooled,
By A Customer
This review is from: Revelations, Alpha and Omega (Paperback)
The author claims that most of life's mysterious questions about God and life are in his novel but don't be fooled. Sure a lot of facts here and storylines are based from the Bible, but a lot of them aren't. A lot of the storylines and ideas that the author incorporates are from writings or "lost books" that weren't included into the Bible but are still around. So you have a lot of half-truth's in here and a lot of wrong truths. If you want to see what some of those lost books are, go to carm.org ( a Christian based site that talks about such issues.) Please don't be fooled, this author has a lot of half-truths and lies, written into his book, he thinks he's got the answers but he doesn't. He thinks what he's written is the truth but if you really know your bible and study it then you realize that he doesn't. The book basically takes you from the beginning to the end of time and history, and halfway through I just lost interest. It could have been better written, and the character development wasn't that great. Some of what he wrote was just disturbing. Don't take it seriously, and btw, the screenplay format was all right but it was also distracting. Don't waste your money. Sure there will always be a lot of unanswered questions in life like how did they build those pyramids, etc. But a lot of life's important questions can be found in the Bible, after all that's what its there for, look in there for life's questions and not into a novel.

awesome!,
By Mary C. Cribbs (Sevierville, TN United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Revelations, Alpha and Omega (Paperback)
This book is packed with so much information that I constantly had to set it down to absorb what it said, then I would quickly pick it up again. I really enjoyed the screenplay format because it was more visual. It was just like watching a movie. I can see why the title of the story is "Revelations" because the information is captivating. If you are looking for the answers to life, read this book. Almost every page is packed with information. It is a real page-turner!

Finally someone puts it all together!,
This review is from: Revelations, Alpha and Omega (Paperback)
After researching many ancient religions and texts, and the opinions of others, I found very few that could even begin to tie all of the information together. The author has obviously done his homework and I highly recommend this book to anyone, that still has an open mind and seeks knowledge.
