I found the album contains quite a few of my favorite Nephilim songs so I found it very convenient as well. If you like the "gothic" style music I would give it a try.

If you area fan of gothic music and have not heard this band, you are seriously missing something. This "greatest hits" package is a good place to start, but if you want a great album experience, pick up Elizium, a truly landmark album.

The Initiation,
By A Customer
This review is from: Revelations - Best of (Audio CD)
This album, bought -- if I recall correctly -- entirely on a whim, was the beginning of my infatuation with Fields of the Nephilim, a relationship that has grown over the years. Coming across this album at the same time I was developing a fascination with all things occult, particularly the ceremonial magick of Crowley, I found it to be the perfect soundtrack for my readings and experimentations -- powerful, brooding, dark, mystical, and always with the sense of something strange and unknown hidden just out of reach. Song titles like "Psychonaut Liber 111," "Love Under Will," and "Moonchild" kept up the Thelemic romance, not to mention the hints at a Lovecraftian universe and the voice of the old Beast himself (in otherwords, Aleister Crowley). All in all, an album beyond compare, as all the FoTN works are, and certainly worthy of far better than the sneering reviews from 'experts' that Amazon has provided us with. Get a copy, and prepare for your own initation into the mysteries of the Nephilim.
