5.0 out of 5 stars at first it may seem like a nu-metal band
but you're way off. what we have here is a straight up metal/hardcore band with amazing solos, complicated breakdowns, and no whining. period. amazing live band. recommended if you like Heaven Shall Burn, Cataract, All that Remains or Shadows Fall

3.0 out of 5 stars Great music, but...
American metal bands are catching up musically to European bands. Lyrically they haven't, and I don't think they ever will. This album is the finest example of this statement. While the music in this album is great (even better than some European metal bands I know of) the lyrics bring down it's quality. The same I hate myself, I wanna die, my ex-girlfriend is a [bad],...

5.0 out of 5 stars What an offering!, February 8, 2006
This is metalcore that is beautifully brutal. Revelations of the unsung has great breakdowns, that arent played out, and very little singing. The album really consists of screaming. For one song, Phil Labonte from All that remains does guest vocals and the outcome was heartstopping. Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed heard these kids and signed them soon after. Word got out about how good these guys are and then Victory snatched them right up. The bass player wrote this album at 15 years old! (he is now 20) Their new album is due in May, be on the look out, they might be pretty big. This is for fans of : Unearth and Darkest Hour

4.0 out of 5 stars sounds good . lets hope it stays, June 15, 2006
what a relief to actually buy a metalcore album and not be terribly disappointed. as a huge fan of bands like darkest hour and as i lay dying, these guys are simply awesome. although they share similarities with the two bands previously mentioned, there is something fresh and new about these guys. focusing not as strongly on breakdowns and heavy hitting mosh metal, the sound is much more ... rocking. its fast paced, and then slows down from time to time, then followed by a blasting guitar solo. and the lyrics are intriguing as well. im tired of hearing the crap about my girlfriend dumped me and im so sad and emo and this all sucks. IT SUCKS. its good to see a band with a different idea on the music they should play. this is an awesome cd.. i just hope that their days with victory records doesn't lead them to certain doom.... cough.. atreyu

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome band, July 22, 2005
A Kid's Review
This band is absolutely amazing. Every song is good. I was reading some of the other reviews and the one person said that they had "melodies like killswitch Engage" (well, he diagreed with them but he said someone else said it)... These guys don't sound anything like Kse. Autumn Offering barely has any melodies anyway. They only have it in like 2 of their songs for maybe 10 seconds each. Anyway, go buy the CD

5.0 out of 5 stars As Metal As You Can Get, July 28, 2004
I wish the rating scale can go up to 100 because these guys deserve it. This Album has to be one of the greatest, most metal album to come out from a simple local band. The guitar riffs are sensational, the double bass is phenominal and Dennis' voice is sensational. This band will indeed be part of the greatest metal bands on the chart. Good luck to you guys and I wish you greater success.

5.0 out of 5 stars this sounds like melodic metalcore, March 10, 2007
The Autumn Offering is in a class by itself. they sound like melodic metalcore. I myself was surprised that metalcore could be melodic too. even so, it still rocks. for more metalcore, try Zao, Himsa, Spite(RIP), Killswitch Engage, Unearth, Cataract, Hedfirst, Underoath, A Life Once Lost, Terror, and It Dies Today. Victory needs to produce more metalcore bands like this.

American metal bands are catching up musically to European bands. Lyrically they haven't, and I don't think they ever will. This album is the finest example of this statement. While the music in this album is great (even better than some European metal bands I know of) the lyrics bring down it's quality. The same I hate myself, I wanna die, my ex-girlfriend is a [bad], etc. etc. lyrics just going on and on, they are lyrics you will find in bands like Limp Bizkit or Pappa Roach. Like I said, these guys know what they are doing with a guitar, bass, and drums, but if you're like me, and are looking for great music WITH great lyrics there are other bands worth checking out first.

5.0 out of 5 stars BETTER THAN THEIR NEW ALBUM, June 16, 2006
WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT THIS ALBUM I WAS BLOWN AWAY. ITS NOT ANYTHING THAT NEW AND AMAZING OR ANYTHING, BUT IT IS A LOT MORE "HAPPIER" METAL, IF I CAN SAY SOMETHING THAT CRAZY. SOMETIMES IT GETS SICKENING LISTING TO EVERYTHING OUT THERE RIGHT NOW BECAUSE A LOT OF IT IS ANGRY, UNHAPPY METAL. THESE GUYS SEEM LIKE THEY ARE HAVING FUN PLAYING AND THRASHING OUT. NOT MUCH NEGATIVITY IN THE MUSIC. VERY HEAVY AND WELL WORTH OWNING. GET THIS BEFORE THE NEW ALBUM, ITS BETTER.
