Most Helpful Customer Reviews

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Bryan Kerr on March 7, 2012
Format: Hardcover
This book gets 5 stars for two reasons: 1) the scholarship and publishing caliber are second to none. This volume adheres to national historical documentation standards, and avoids a pro/anti-Mormon stance. It offers early copies of the Doctrine & Covenants with footnotes indicating in-text anomalies. 2) This book is extremely well-bound, and attractive. It is bound in blue cloth with gold writing on the cover and spine. I have read through it from cover to cover, as well as for historical research of one particular "revelation." This review is not meant as a recommendation of the LDS but as a recommendation of the book in question as a tool for historical research.
