About the Author
Janet Markey; is the youngest daughter of four. Her brother is her mother's youngest. She was born, and still resides, in Indianapolis, Indiana on what she hopes was a bright sunny shiny day. At age 21 she prayed for the privilege to write this novel. "Be careful of what you pray for" are true words spoken often. Revelations can be perceived as the most horrifying book of the bible. Janet researched extensively, prayed often, and labored day and night writing it. Her education consists of attending Shortridge High School on North Meridian Street, where she was an English Major; Rural State College in Indianapolis, Indiana, her major study was Computer Science; Lockyear College of Indianapolis, Indiana, where she majored in Business Management. She had numerous training in the areas of public speaking, writing, and computer technology. She has written informational literature for the division where she is employed, the Department of the Army Noncommissioned Officer Branch (NEB). She has also edited the Army Appeal's Corner in the NEB Tidbits, updated the NEB Appeal's Standard Operations Procedure Manual. She answered White House inquiries for the president of the United States and submitted responses to Congresspersons. Other experiences include numerous unpublished poems and novels. Her tenure with the Department of the Army has been 14 years.
Her hobbies are in the areas of art, writing, listening to music, watching movies, and entertaining the thought of exercising. Her favorite quote is "God must have a sense of humor", and it must be true! Yes indeed! As she recalls her more leisured days when she first prayed to write. "God I want to be a writer. God, please allow me to write!" Boy does he answer prayers?, she says. On her job, day in and day out, She sits behind her desk pouring out her soul writing business letters! She says that she realizes now that she should have been more specific when she prayed. However, she learned to love her line of work and the experience she gained.
Janet Markey was married at an early age and divorced ten years later. She has three wonderful daughters and a wonderful son. Like her mom, her son too is the youngest.
Although she never attempted publication of her poems or novels, her passion for the art never diminished and she continued writing, both on and off the job. In summary, while working in her career and being a single parent tending to her wonderfully perfect flawless children (so the children proclaim), she has been fortunate enough to pursue her career as the literary writer she has always wanted to be. Revelations (The Years 2000), is guaranteed to move the reader as they venture through each page.
