Revell produces the best car model kits around. The kit comes in white, which makes it far easier to paint than those Japanese kits that come in color plastic. The Audi R8 was easier to paint and build than the Ferrari California and F430. The paints you will need, according to the product box and manual, are:- Aluminum - Semi gloss black - Silver - Graphite Metallic - Steel - Semi gloss red - Transparent red - Turn signal amber - Flat white The box and manual don't list two colors that are also necessary: - Flat gray - Flat beige The flat beige is used for painting the car seats. However, if you research online, you will see that the most common color for the real R8 seats is black, so you will probably just paint the seats semi gloss black, like I did. You will need to buy a can of silver spray, if you want your R8 to look like the artwork. In my case, I decided to paint it a different color, so it is up to you.

This is a very nice and detailed model kit, but please note all the plastics are molded in white and you have to paint it silver to look like the box art. It looks just as nice if you leave it white and paint some black panels too. The front wheels turn left and right and the rear hatch opens to reveal the engine (you have to melt some plastic for this step so be careful). Overall a very good kit.
