In 1964, the Ferrari entry at Sebring included their new 275-P and 330-P prototypes. The 275-P Ferrari emerged the victor, defeating even its bigger brother the 330 P. To prove that the win by the smaller car was no fluke, the Ferrari 275-P, repeated its performance at Le Mans, setting a new record average speed of 121.5 mph. Through racing and winning, Ferrari has the most highly regarded name in the field of high performance cars, today.

This is about as close to owning a real Ferrari as I'll ever get, and for the relatively cheap price it's offered many hours of enjoyable building and painting. There are some annoyances though...The engine (on mine, at least) does not line up correctly even when assembled with 100% precision. The top is slightly rotated and looks noticeably "off" compared to the rest of the engine. You can't simply move it to line up - it has to clip into the bit underneath. Very annoying as the engine is one of the best parts and is viewable all the time on this car. You can't tell from a quick glance, but still... I had a nightmare with the wheels. It's extremely hard to the get the tires on the wheel if you build the car in the order it says. It requires an immense amount of force! I actually had to trim the inside of the tires down a bit to make it easier to get on, and even then I had to remove most of the engine because it was going to break from the force needed. Only one of the wheels actually spins nicely as it should. Some of the decals are absurdly small. I know part of the appeal with models is the intricacy and precision required, but some of the decals are impossible to work with - even with a magnifier lamp and a steady hand! I lost a couple - they simply vanished somewhere as I was trying to apply then......I think they just evaporated! Overall though, for something that costs less than 20 bucks I can't complain too much. It's kept me busy for a long time and looks great just sitting there. You would have to actually pick it up and examine it closely to see the shortcomings.

I'm 13 now but I was like 11 or 12 when i got this. it's not made to be durable, you're supposed to spend several days and extreme care building this, then put it in a prestigious place of display, and dust them every week. i also have a Ferrari 360 Modena and a Superamerica. once i figured i could build models i took a huge step up and got an A-10 Warthog and an F-14 Tomcat, seriously, DON'T BUY THEM UNLESS YOU HAVE A STEADY HAND AND AN INSANE AMOUNT OF PATIENCE.

this review is just based on my personal opinions and preferences.1.no paints included, it's just a pale car... I don't like to spray paint anything and make a mess in my home, and I'm afraid the brush wont make the painting smooth and shiny. not to mention that you'll need to spend another $10 or more for the paints and tools! 2.glue is needed for everything, otherwise pieces won't stay, they don't clip onto one another. 3.the engine block is not straight, as it is also mentioned by other reviewers. 4.wheels are a headache, one wheel is stuck and can't spin while another is too loose that it would fall out very easily. 5.plastic body just seems like a low quality toy.
