I bought this from a michaels in my area, I will say this it is a perfect model for ametuers graduating from level 1 to level 2. The instructions are the only flaw with this model considering that they don't clearly point out where each part goes in some instances and paint details are not located in an appropriate place(they are located in the back of the instuctions in three little sentences telling you what to paint each color.) If they made the directions a little easier to understand it would be perfect. Also you will need low tac painters tape for this model if you want to detail it properly. Colors needed for this car are, Silver, red, white, blue, Gloss black, flat black. You will also need tweezers and vynil gloves to keep clean. I recommend chrome if possile for the outer details since that how the picture shows it, I think transparent red and white if they make it(ametuer in model making my self) for the lights in the back since they are chrome plated.

couple of tips for someone who is in the process of working on this model. don't follow the instructions completely, sand the body lightly and the hood lightly then wash with dish detergent and let air dry(basic tip the instructions don't cover.) You will need a fine tip cement dispensor, since there are some really small parts and holes. All in all its a cool model.

5.0 out of 5 stars The classic lives on and on., February 8, 2012

This kit has been around for decades and that is a good thing. It is essentially a reissue of the "Badman" kit, changes are few. This builds into a classic 70's "Street Freak" cruiser. The car is simple to construct so I would recommend it as a starter for any newbie. There are small bits and tight spaces that make a precision tip a must but the basic car is sturdy and simple. It amazes me how good this kit is today considering the age on the molds. Monogram kits of this era had thick engraving s I am sure that helps. The best feature of this kit is you build it and it will sit on all fours and look right. I am sure a lot of enthusiasts would find many faults with scale, accuracy and other things, and be right. But this is a kit you buy and build for FUN. I wish Revell still offered the 66 Malibu kit and the 69 Z28 from this era. All these kits are nostalgic and a pleasure to build.
