I don't view this model kit as being a toy durable enough to play with, and any educational value would be related to documentation of the trend during the 1950s and 1960s for stylized station wagons. The kit is designed to be built as a display item. As such, it is good kit, typical of mid-range model kits in that it has reasonably sufficient and accurate detail but does not have photo etched frets or resin parts such as might be included in high-end car-model kits. The parts fit well, the parts have little to no flash so parts clean-up is quite easy. In my view, the kit is suitable for ages 12 and up. Both my daughters built similar kits including air-brush finishes when they were age 14. Revell/Monogram (same company) has a long standing reputation for producing quality mid-range model kits. From the box, or with aftermarket details, this is a nice kit. To me, the detraction is that, when sitting along side the other Nomad and Safari models, this model is noticeably larger in size. Thus my only "wish" is that it had not been produced in 1/24th scale but rather in 1/25th scale as are the rest of the Chevrolet Nomad (injection molded) and Pontiac Safari (resin cast) kits. The price is appropriate for the value received.

This is a great kit. I purchased it for my Dad who is restoring a 1957 Nomad and painted it to match the "full size" version.

However, the website indicated that the scale of this kit is 1:25, but upon delivery, I received a kit which was a scale of 1:24 with the same car pictured on the box. Not a big difference, unless you're looking for a specific size.
