When it was introduced in 1959, the half-car, half-truck El Camino was based on the full-size Chevy platform. By the time it moved to the CHEVELLE platform in '64 it was becoming downright muscular. For 1966, the El Camino was available with the big block 396 c.i. engine, making it a truck that could do any job in a hurry.

Makes an EXCELLENT CHRISTMAS GIFT for the car lover in you or anyone for that matter. Classic car lovers rejoice because the cars they make today all look alike. If you don't believe me, when you come out to the parking lot from Kings Dominion Park or Walk Disney World or Busch Gardens and look around at the sea of cars, where is your car? Don't push the keyless transmitter to hear your horn honk/beep or to see your headlights flash. Can you find your car? Chances are, there are more than 1 or 2 cars that are exactly like yours in that parking lot.
