The scene is probably the first major car chase ever used in a feature film and ever movie car chase that has following over the years owes allegiance to Steve McQueen for making it happen. When assembled, this 1/25 scale model measures 7.5" long and has the following features: opening hood with detailed V-8 engine; custom five spoke magnesium wheels; decals with authentic factory graphics and is molded in white, transparent red and clear with chrome plated parts and black vinyl tires.

Note that I bought this model locally, not online, and paid full list price for it.

That said, I was disappointed at what I got for the money; this appears to be an old style kit, with somewhat undetailed engine (heads and intake manifold all one piece), screw holes in the chassis (and copyright info etc. printed), and even the old steel axle through a hole in the oil pan setup. OK for a lower priced kit, but Revell has positioned this at over $20, and it's not an example of current state of the art tooling or anything like it.

In contrast, the Revell 2008 Bullitt Mustang for the same price is an example of good current practice.

The box seemed quite paper weight when it arrived. But it was that the model was much smaller than expected. Not a problem. -"Building it was fun!" said the person I gifted it too. Over all Its quite nice. Awesome movie, by the way.
