5.0 out of 5 stars Why the 3-star reviews? It is clearly shown as Skill Level 1
I do not understand why the three-star reviews. This is a Snap Tite model intended for beginning modelers, product description clearly says (first line) "Easy snap-together assembly, no gluing or painting needed," and below, "Skill Level 1." It was never intended for adults. It is one of the common kits used at model show "make and take" sessions for kids to assemble...

3.0 out of 5 stars Review
It wasnt as hard as he liked. It was for my girl friends dad and I think he was a little insulted by how easy it was. The difficulty needs to be made more clear when it comes to models of this type. I didnt think anything was wrong with it but thats just me :)

I do not understand why the three-star reviews. This is a Snap Tite model intended for beginning modelers, product description clearly says (first line) "Easy snap-together assembly, no gluing or painting needed," and below, "Skill Level 1." It was never intended for adults. It is one of the common kits used at model show "make and take" sessions for kids to assemble. Thus is is a "fun toy" for kids, and it is educational for beginning modelers as it requires reading directions and developing skills to build more complex models. Is it durable? For static display, yes, but not as a toy to play with. It is an excellent model considered within its intended customer and use, and is well worth the price for a model of this type. I can only conclude that those who rated this model as three-stars failed to read the product description.

No glue needed for this '57 Chevy. Easy snap-together assembly and wheels roll on metal axles when built. Parts are molded in multiple colors and chrome-plated parts are also included. This is a "hot rod" with model American Racing "Slat Flat Special" mag wheel and flame stickers for decoration. Parts can be detail painted with standard model paints if desired. Highly recommended.

very fun build easy to assembly. the decals really set this car off well, looks very plain and boring right after being assembled with no stickers. wearing gloves and using a little heat from the hair dryer works very well to get the stickers to mold over the emblems.
very enjoyable

I was fully finished with this in 40 minutes! Skip this model and go onto something that might be at least a LITTLE challenge. Even for beginners this type of model puts together almost by itself. Including the tiny bit of painting I did (just to add a modicum of authenticity) it was over in under an hour. Amazon, please make it clearer if models are to be "snap-together" type.
