Detailed 1/471 scale assembly model kit of the USS Hope (AH-7), a World War II era Comfort-class hospital ship launched under Maritime Commission contract by Consolidated Steel Corporation in1943. Commissioned on15 August 1944, the USS Hope was manned by a Navy crew but carrying Army medical teams. The USS Hope care for casualties during U.S. Pacific Campaign from 1944 till the end of the war, and she was decommissioned on 9 May 1946. This is a kit I built as a kid and I had a blast building it! It's nowhere near as complex as modern ship kits, but with a little skill in filling gaps and getting parts to fit right you'll have a very enjoyable time and a great looking model to display! The fun is in doing it again - but doing it better and right this time around! No floating it in the bathtub!
