Detailed 1/35 scale model kit of the U.S. Army Main Battle Tank M1 Abrams. Originally developed by Chrysler Defense and now produced by General Dynamics, the M1 Abrams is one of the most technologically advanced tanks in the world. Equipped with the latest in armor technology that includes the "Chobham armor" and more recently, "depleted uranium armor" and fitted with a M68A1 105 mm rifled main gun capable of firing a wide variety of ordinances, the M1 is no doubt one of the deadliest modern tank in the world. In addition, the Honeywell AGT 1500 gas turbine power plant allows the M1 Abrams to travel at speeds up to 45 mph, which is outstanding for a tank weighing close to 70 tons. This 1/35 scale model kit depicts the M1A2 variant, which has improved armament, protection and electronics. This kit features highly detailed exterior with many surface structures, injection molded tracks with individual links, and includes cartridge handling device and fully rotating lights. 295 pieces total.
