No One Remembers Poor Old Reimar and Walter, November 19, 2011
This review is from: Revell Horten GO-229 (Toy)
I was amazed when I learned that you could build this aircraft. For those who don't know, the Ho 229 (often called the Go 229. The Hortens designed it but Gothaer Waggonfabrik built it) was a revolutionary jet powered stealth fighter developed my Nazi Germany late in WWII. It could outperform the Me 262, and absorbed up to 20% of all radar waves (though this was only somewhat intentional). If the Luftwaffe had had this aircraft at the beginning of the battle of Britain Hitler may have found his way across the channel. But, no one remembers it. For all the terrible things the Nazis did, their aeronautics developments were generations ahead of their time and many are still used today. Anyway, this model isn't particularly hard, nor is it particularly detailed in comparison to other models I've built. I'm such a fanboy of historic aircraft that I can't help but love the Ho/Go 229.
