This review is from: Revell H.M.S. Bounty (Toy)
I am a bit new to model ship building so I thought I old start with a few of the cheaper ships before I went to the more expensive ones.

Cons:
On first opening the box, my first impression was it had been mangled during shipping, but the outer box looked ok. Most of the plastic bits had fallen off the sprus (the structure that holds them on). Many of the pieces had extra plastic from the molding around the edges that takes a long time to get off. The numbers are in no particular order on the parts, so it takes a while to hunt for them. Many of the pieces have holes in them from a sub-par molding process that have nothing to do with the model.

Pros:
The pieces are not terribly fragile although they come off the plastic very easily. The instructions are easy to follow (Just make sure you paint everything BEFORE you start).

Materials:
To finish the ship you will need plastic glue (it basically melts the two pieces of plastic and sets very fast, can be found at craft and hobby stores), super glue for the rigging, an x-acto knife, scissors and lots of light.

Conclusion:
For 20 something bucks it is not bad, but don't expect something you would put in a glass case. I'm not sure I would recommend it for kids under 13 because of all the glue (and the parents would have to do the rigging).
