Revell 1:48 Rocket Hero Lunar Landing

It took me about 8 hours over the course of several days to assemble this. Unlike other models I've built, it uses a shiny gold foil to create a realistic effect. The foil was self-adhesive, which made it easy to apply, but the instructions don't actually mention that. I figured out that the backing came off only after I had glued a section on.

I like that the descent module and ascent module are separate, but can be 'locked' together. I was very pleased with the final look of the model.

This is a great diorama of the Apollo Lunar landing! Putting this model wasn't very hard. The instructions are easy to follow and the results look great. It looks realistic and you can't go wrong with the price. I can't find any major problems with this kit. It comes with a collectors pin.

There is one thing I didn't like. The gold foil that came with the kit was hard to work with. I tried to use it and it didn't look realistic. I had to use household aluminium foil instead. But it's a small complaint for me. This kit is well worth the money. If you're into space flight models, this kit has to be in your collection.

The Revell 1:48 Rocket Hero Lunar Landing was good and fun to put together. The only awkward part was wrapping the gold foil around the feet/landing gear pads. The moon surface and extras were nice too.
