Format: Audio CD
With their sophomore release,(Revenants),is a blazing proclamaton not only of Technical proficiency but also of timeless metal mastery.Perhaps melodic death metal is too narrow a classification, because this album encompasses far more than routine Slaughter of the Soul rip-offs.Conducting from the grave combines delicious Scandinavian guitar harmonics and solos with a heaping of old-school American thrash and metalcore breakdowns and steps it up a notch with frenetic progressive tempo shifts in the vein of Death or Into Eternity.Growling vocalist Mikey Powell draws on several influences to muster up an impressive range, and the sharp production shines a light on every precision drumbeat and buzz saw riff.Such a description may still sound tired to some, but CftG possesses enough clever songwriting prowess on the album not only to stay one step ahead of us,but to keep us chasing the dollar bill.

Everything worked out greatly, no flaws, very melodic deathcore, extremely catchy stuff. The breakdowns are great and very well done.
