I saw this movie at an old downtown theater that had been sold by a national chain and was bought by a private citizen who showed a lot of soft core sex movies.
Being a teenager and because the folks that ran the box office at this theater were not particular about who they allowed in, me and a friend paid our admission and spent an afternoon with the cheerleaders. I will not go into the plot simply because it is too silly to devote any attention to. And Carl Ballentine (remember Groober from "McHale's Navy?) either owed someone a favor or had lost a bet when he appeared in this flick as the school principal. But in spite of its dumb story and poor acting, there is something kind of appealing about ROTC. One thing that sets it apart from many of the T & A flicks that were popular at the time was its use of full frontal nudity. One of the characters, Sesame, spends most of the movie running around with no clothes on. And believe me, when you are a 16 year old boy and you see girls completely naked up on the screen, you tend to be very forgiving when it comes to bad acting, writing, and direction. This movie though is basically harmless fun. It is not a film that would win any awards but it never set out to be. This is a movie that will appeal mostly to guys who saw it years ago and are now taking a 2 hour trip back to their youths. Anybody else will probably find it dull. Don't bother looking for any redeeming social values- there are none.

Couldn't get much worse.,

Oh dear. I figured this was one of those '70s movies that has a thin plot and poor acting. Unfortunately, I was VERY correct. The "plot" consists of showing quite a few naked women. Sure, there's nothing inherently wrong with that. I would just like to be at least mildly entertained by some sort of interesting dialogue. "Revenge Of The Cheerleaders" is definitely a flick only for die hard fans of the mindless '70s T&A genre. P.S.- Hasselhoff is nothing more than an extra with a nude scene in this film. He is not one of the main characters.

I remember watching this movie at some point when I was about 14 and skipping school. It was on one of the local TV channels (Sacramento, CA) and I skipped school to read (I was really bored with classes). I didn't know who Hasselhoff was (circa 1986) and was surprised to see half naked cheerleaders and basketball players on mid-day TV. The shower scene has always stayed with me...and has colored my impression of Hasselhoff since!
I am buying a copy of the movie to send to Don and Mike!

This movie needs more than david hasslehoff to make it watchable. The best scene is when you see the 2 nude girls walking outside. That was awesome! Besides that you better have your fast forward button handy or it will be a long 90 minutes.
