THE BAD: Some would say no sounds is bad but I disagree. SOUND IS ANNOYING trust me on that, its cool at first buy it gets really annoying

2.0 out of 5 stars Lightsaber. What lightsaber?
This toy didn't last 10 minutes. We gave it to our 5 year old for christmas. The second time he went to extend it, the lightsabor (red) part went flying across the room and almost hit our 2 year old in the head. He wasn't even playing rough with it. I do not recommend for children.

5.0 out of 5 stars COUNT DOOKU SABER, August 27, 2006
A Kid's Review
OVERVIEW: it is a toy modelled after COUNT DOOKU'S lightsaber.

THE BAD: Some would say no sounds is bad but I disagree. SOUND IS ANNOYING trust me on that, its cool at first buy it gets really annoying

THE GOOD: fully retractable. This is really important if you want a cool costume that does't look strange. Lights up.

DURABILITY: Heres the big question... CAN U DUEL WITH IT... the answer is yes and no, Its kind of like force FX lightsabers, it doesn't recomend doing duels but if you play not to ruff their great. What I do and what I strongly reccomend is that you spend a little extra and also get one of the cheaper 7-10 dollar toy lightsabers with no lights and sounds. So when the battle gets reff tuck it away and flip and one of the cheaper and more durable ones and hit them as hard as you want to. But if you want to beat the junk right out of everything

IS THIS THE ONE FOR YOU?: if you are interested in this one im assuming you want a nice red blade, so their is also 1 other lightsaber rubies makes that has a red blade. DARTH VADER SABER. Alothough I like the looks and the feel of a curved hilt some think the the VADER one looks better, if so keep in mind that the grip on the VADERS SABER is uncomfortable, it has the wind sheild wiper grip with looks asome but is uncomfortable.

ALL IN ALL: if you like star wars curved hilts lightsabers or Count Dooku or if you have a lightsaber collection, this is the saber for you. Ebay also sells them for cheaper in some cases, but amazon might be a bit more trustworthy and fast, But check google and ebay and do your research. For the pictures of the other sabers by rubies check out [...]. HAPPY BUYING

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice costume piece, August 31, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I actually misunderstood other reviews of this product as saying that this was an independently produced Dooku lightsaber. This was my own mistake, so not an issue. It's like the halloween costume lightsabers you find at retail stores, but it's a nice saber if you're not looking for the expensive light and sound stuff in the Hasbro version. The only real negative about this particular piece is that there is a protrusion out of the "blade projector" that is made of softer rubber, rather than hard plastic like the rest of the lightsaber. While it's safer, the rubber does not hold the rigid shape it should, so it looks bent. Minor complaint, but there it is!

This cheap thing broke the second we took it out of the box. The light never worked and the platic saber part fell off while he was playing with it. He didnt care he just taped it up, but I wouldn't spend the money on it again.

2.0 out of 5 stars junky, June 1, 2007
It has less quality than the cheap ones bought at an department store. I assume this is meant for an adult that only plans to dress as Count Dooku on Halloween and not for a six year old that will actually play with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not too shabby, July 26, 2007

This lightsaber is decently made. The blade is a little flimsy compared to other toy lightsabers but, it is also longer than those. This one also lights up, which is a nice feature. Dooku's lightsaber is shaped differently than most and the manufacturer does a good job of placing a rubber piece at the end (where the blade comes out). If this piece was made of plastic like the rest of the item, it would definitely break off. The rubber bends without breaking. Overall, not too bad of a toy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed!, January 10, 2012

This review is from: Star Wars Revenge of the Sith Count Dooku Light-Up Lightsaber Lights Up! (Toy)
We had great difficulty finding a Count Dooku lightsaber for our 8 year old for Xmas, in the UK, so decided to try further afield. It may have been shortsighted on my part, but when I read the description and saw the total price, including shipping, I assumed that it would have been the same as the lightsabers my son already had! But, this one is one of the cheap ones you can obtain in Toys R Us for £5.00! In total, including shipping, I paid approx £30 so am deeply disappointed! When I contact the seller, they advised that the cost of shipping was the bulk of it and if I wanted a refund I would have to pay the return shipping costs so in essence it wouldn't be worthwhile. I may as well have flushed the £30 down the toilet.
As this was one of our son's Xmas presents, I am really sad that this product wasn't what I thought it would be. I will think twice before buying from here again!
Please read the description 'very carefully' before buying!!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars It came in a damaged package, March 31, 2010

This review is from: Star Wars Revenge of the Sith Count Dooku Light-Up Lightsaber Lights Up! (Toy)
I bought this for my nephew who turned 5. When I recieved it, I was concerned that it had already been opened because the package was damaged. I'm still not sure if it was previously used. We had a hard time trying to figure out how to turn it on. Once we did turn it on, you could hardly tell because the light was so dim. The only time you can tell it's on is when you are in the dark.
