Just like the last time around, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen gets released on the DS in two versions; the heroic Autobots and the villainous Decepticons. The Autobots version of the game finds you playing as the usual cast of characters like Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, taking down baddies and pretty much whatever else you'd expect here. Happily, Revenge of the Fallen on the DS (either version) is better than the last Transformers offering to hit Nintendo's handheld, and in all honesty, is better than most of the console versions of the game that have been released. The game looks decent despite some muddy visuals, it controls well, and though you are more restricted in terms of exploration and overall gameplay than you were the last time around, it surprisingly ends up working out in the game's favor. While the game itself is pretty short, the local Wi-Fi multiplayer and Battle for Earth mode can be pretty fun on their own. All in all, if you're a Transformers fan, own a DS, and felt burned by the console versions of the game, give either the Autobots or Decepticons versions of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen a try at the least.

My kid thought the game would have been different, but he is pleased overall with the game, and its special effects.

My 5 year old can play this game better than me, so it isn't hard to learn. Originally I went to a local chain store and asked for the transformers for the DS. Well they never told me that there was an Autobots version AND a Decepticons version so I of course Bought the Deciptons. When I went back to the store they were out of Autobots but Amazon came to the rescue and I had the Autobots version in a matter of a day! Since I also have a DS my son and I can verse each other (which is so much fun even though I have to be the bad guys). Very entertaining and easy to play!

I bought this game for my 5 yr old grandson which by the way is a huge transformer fan. He loves it.

My son says that he loves this game. He really likes that you can choose your own transformer to play with.

Okay but the first video game was way better because of freeplay I would give this game about a 6.5 out of 10

I Got This Game When It First Came Out And I Love It! Its A Good Game Overall And A Good Buy. Worth It. Its One Of Those Games You'll Beat A Couple Of Times Before You Get Sick Of It. I Think Its A Hard Game But Nobody Else Seems To Think So. And I Think It Lasts A Long Time Before You Beat It. Sadly I Never Did Finish It Tho. My DS Fell Apart. But Im Going To Play It Again As Soon As I Buy A New DS!!!! I Have A Friend Who Has This Game And The Bad Guys One Too And He Already Finished Them And Likes Them Alot. So As Far I Can Tell Its A Very Fun Game And Worth Buying. Have Fun With It!

I purchased this game for my 8 year old son for Christmas. He has both movies, about 6 transformer toys and a few posters. After wii, this is his favorite game to play on his Nintendo DS. If we're in the car for more than twenty minutes he has to bring this game along. He even takes it when we go to his sister's basketball games. Yes, he rather play this game than watch his sister play.

I bought this game as a Christmas gift for my nephew, which was on his Christmas wish list. He really likes it and is one of his new favorite game.
