5.0 out of 5 stars Djape keeps up the good work
If you enjoyed Djape's "Killer Sudoku" you will also love this book. I've tried a couple of puzzles at each level and managed (very slowly in some cases) to complete them all except for level 5 zero killer sudoku. In the zero puzzles there are only a few cages and a lot of empty space - REALLY hard, and great fun.
In general I think the puzzles (except for the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Difficult to See Gridlines
I have had a difficult time with this book, but it has not stopped my from trying. I am very experienced with killer sudoku, but I am no extreme expert. I believe part of my issue with the puzzles in this book is that the grid lines are not particularly well distinguised from the dotted lines. The introduction is not extensive but is informative. This would not be a...

In general I think the puzzles (except for the zero puzzles) are slightly easier than in his last book, or maybe I'm just get used to his fiendish ways?

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent challange, September 8, 2008
I loved this book! I was getting bored with killer Sudoku because all the other books were too easy. This one was really hard and challenging! I would spend a day or two on one puzzle. I would recommend this to all the die hard killer sudoku fans!!!

As a veteran of killer sudoku, I found this volume to be quite engaging. It offers a range of skill levels, but few so simple that they aren't enjoyable at the right moment. And then there are the new challenges: diagonal killer sudokus and blank killer sudokus. Cool stuff.

Rock on Djape!

5.0 out of 5 stars Djape creates the best Killer Sudoku puzzles, August 26, 2009
IMHO, Killer Sudoku is far more rewarding than the usual [a.k.a. "vanilla"] sudoku puzzles. Once you try killers, you will likely not return to traditional sudoku. All of the killer sudoku books by Djape are excellent. The easier puzzles can be made more challenging by not using any pencil marks. The more difficult puzzles are "brain" and "IQ" are terrific. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality, Challenging Puzzles, October 8, 2008

Princess Amy (Tucson, AZ USA) - See all my reviews
The puzzles in this book are well made. I haven't found any errors, as in many other brands of puzzles. The puzzles are clearly labeled by level of difficulty, and they are consistently rated correctly. I have had hours of fun with this volume of books, and look forward to many other variations available from djape. Thank you for a great book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Djape Rocks, May 27, 2010

This review is from: Revenge of Killer Sudoku (Paperback)
Incredibly challenging!! I purchased Revenge of Killer Sudoku Volumes 2 and 3 first. They provided me with weeks of entertainment. This first one in the series did not disappoint either. I am a Sudoku snob, I won't touch anything easy. I don't bother with anything less than level 5 in Djape's books. From time to time I get stumped with some level 5 puzzles and had to walk away. When I returned to finish these toughies and managed to solve them, the joy was indescribable! This is a puzzle book for someone who enjoys logic and deduction. The answers don't just fall into place. That's the fun of it.

I am almost finished with this book and can't wait to move on to Zero Killer Sudoku, also by Djape. Thank you Djape, you are brilliant! And this is from some one who is not easily impressed intellectually! I so look forward to solving more puzzles composed by you!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars revenge of killer sudoku, September 13, 2009
I had purchased another DJAPE killer sudoku book, was pleased with it. This, however, is ten times better. five difficulty levels, I was able to complete puzzles in each section. Please get another book like this so I can have something to look forward to when I finish this one. Thanks, DJAPE, Bob Mayer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Killer Killers, September 2, 2009

Wow, what a great Sudoku book. I've played Sudoku for a long time until I found Killer Sodukus. Now, after hours and hours I'm nearly finished with this book. I'm getting ready for a cruise in a couple weeks and was about to panic until I discovered Volumn 2 - which I just ordered.

This is possibly the best puzzle book I have ever bought.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you find Sudoku too easy, this is for you!, December 7, 2008
By
I stumbled across the sum-sudokus in a different book and loved the twist they gave Sudoku (which was getting too easy). The puzzles are arranged in increasing level of difficulty to help you get the hang of it. The hardest ones take me several sitting before I can solve them.

2.0 out of 5 stars puzzles good, format bad, July 27, 2011
By
This review is from: Revenge of Killer Sudoku (Paperback)
These are good, challenging puzzles (once you get past the first couple of easy levels), BUT the format is simply intolerable.

Pages are 9" x 6", which is already small enough, but then there are two puzzles on each page!
So the type is too small and it's hard to see the lines demarcating the boxes.
There's very little room for you to notate the number possibilities in each cell.
There's very little room outside the puzzle for any other notations.

For me, the puzzles are basically ruined.

(Which is especially bad in my case because I used Amazon's 4-for-3 promotion to get 4 of these dang books!)
