Book Description

March 6, 2006
The subject of 9/11 root causes did not receive due attention in the 9/11 Commission report. Islamism, the radical fusion of religion and politics with jihad at its center, is an obvious root cause. Islamist ideology is centered on reintroduction of a caliphate, an Islamic super-state governed by Islamic Sharia law. In the post Cold War era, Islamism has been competing with the U.S.-led globalization ideology for world domination. The primary tool for the long-term expanion of Islamism is proselytism of Islam, Saudi Wahhabi Islam in particular. Terrorism is a tactic of asymmetric warfare, a great cost-effective equalizer, causing huge political and economic impact on a short-term basis. The Islamist terrorist networks flouished and grew exponentially during the Clinton era. The President's lack of resolve to fight terrorism and his turning a blind eye to radical Islam fueled the rise of Osama bin Laden from isolation and obscurity to a planetary hydra-like monster. The track record qualifies Clinton to be characterized as the Neville Chamberlain of the 1990s. His predecessors going back to President Roosevelt in 1945 have also contributed a great deal to empower radical Islam.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential background on the rise of radical political Islam, December 16, 2006
This review is from: Revenge Of The Prophet (Paperback)
Once again polymath Dr. Joksimovich has authored a book notable for its deep research and thought-provoking analysis. Dr. Joksimovich illustrates in impressive detail how Islamic extremist terrorism was brought to life by U.S. support for the most retrograde elements in Afghanistan during the 1980s (the most massive CIA operation in history), and how this movement that the Western world helped to create turned into a classic case of blowback. Through mismanagement, the U.S. focus on short-term (and short-sighted) goals in its intervention in the Balkans and its blind support for Saudi Arabia has only fed this growing movement, the consequences of which we are paying for today. The Bush Administration's reckless invasion of Iraq, based, like the war on Yugoslavia, on deliberate lies, has only given Al Qaeda and like-minded movements a rallying cause with which to recruit many new adherents. 'The Revenge of the Prophet' documents these and many other disturbing developments in hard-hitting fashion. A book not to be missed.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Revenge of the Prophet, April 25, 2006
By
This review is from: Revenge Of The Prophet (Paperback)
The Revenge of the Prophet is the most complete discussion of radical Islamists, Wahhabism, Muslim Brotherhood and Bin Laden's plan to defeat the West I have found. The author goes into great detail about the support the U. S. gave to Bin Laden in his fight against the Russians in Afghanistan. He traces the alliance between the U. S, and the Saudi Royal family going back to 1945 when Roosevelt met the Saudi King and cemented an alliance to assure the U. S. got the Saudi oil instead of Britain. The author's presentation of the Bosnia and Kosovo wars are quite different from what the West learned from the evening news. Because the West was determined to free the Muslims from the Serbs, they backed Al Quaeda which had infiltrated Bosnia and Cosovo, thus allowing Al Quaeda to build bases in those countries providing a gateway to Europe.

4.0 out of 5 stars Revenge of the Prophet, November 19, 2006
This review is from: Revenge Of The Prophet (Paperback)
Dr. Joksimovich's book is an excellent and well researched account on the rise of Radical Islam. Most people in the West "noticed" militant Islamists only after 9/11, not realizing that there was a planned strategy in place long before 9/11. This book gives a historic review of when and how it all began and how it progressed to what it is now: The biggest threat to the democratic world since the II World War and Nazis.
When reading the Revenge of the Prophet it becomes clear how our own foreign affairs "experts" in the period from 1992-1999 helped the rise of Osama bin Laden during the wars in the former Yugoslavia by making decisions without taking into consideration long term consequences.
Very interesting book and I highly recommend it.
