5.0 out of 5 stars Oh, man, my sides hurt from laughing
This stuff is really funny but also it has a point. The p oint is if telemarketers are gonna keep on bothering and bothering us why shouldn't a guy like Tom bother them right back, especially if it comes out SO FUNNY that we really can be entertained by it all on this CD. My brother turned me on to this after hearing it on Stern or somewhere like that. So get the CD and...

I get the feeling that Virgin Records needed to squeeze out something FAST. Was Tom was too busy touring across the country in that "Revenge Mobile" to have time to record some REAL calls? The result here is anything BUT a rembrandt. These are out takes, throw-out calls and general garbage. Just when you think a funny confrontation is about to develope, the call...

I get the feeling that Virgin Records needed to squeeze out something FAST. Was Tom was too busy touring across the country in that "Revenge Mobile" to have time to record some REAL calls? The result here is anything BUT a rembrandt. These are out takes, throw-out calls and general garbage. Just when you think a funny confrontation is about to develope, the call ends in luke-warm fashion. A hellarious prank call should elicit something more than the call subject hanging up. Tom only amuses himself with this CD effort. There aren't many laughs, and before you know it the CD over. Since when are albums supposed to be about 30 minutes long?! This is half an album for the price of one full album. Unless you're a serious collector, go purchase Jerky Boys I and II, Touch Tone Terrorist III, Roy D. Mercer I, Jeff Foxworthy, etc.

4.0 out of 5 stars Oh my god. I just pooped a J. A J for JESUS!, January 7, 2006

This being the sequel to Tom Mabe's album "Revenge on the Telemarketers: Round One", he does mostly the same stuff in this album as he did in the previous one. Random telemarketers call him, and he puts on a big act trying to act as crazy as possible. Generally he has a pre-scripted act ready for them, as he confuses the telemarketers or at least puts them in uncomfortable positions. This is most evident when he makes it known that he's talking to the telemarketer while sitting on the toilet with the exclamation "Oh my god. I just pooped a J."

The CD is a fun way to spend an hour or so, but the jokes get a bit old after 3 or 4 runs through the CD. This CD would be good on a road trip to help pass the time.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth it..., September 16, 2003

The guy kind of crosses the line to obnoxious from funny. A couple of them are OK but it gets old fast. He's a one trick pony.
Save your money - download a few of the more interesting ones for free and see if you like it. Then re-consider buying the cd. As an example, if you listen to one, would you like to hear it again? No. My point is, unlike Sam Kinison, or any talented comic, this material interesting and a little funny once (if that) - much is just mean.
Kind of like some comedians just work dirty to get a laugh, this guy just acts mean. It gets old way too fast because it's only one thing - heckle telemarketers. Download some for free and listen to about 5 in a row and you'll easily see where I'm coming from.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny stuff... I about wrecked my car, December 19, 2000
This review is from: Revenge on the Telemarketers: Round Two (Audio CD)
Round 2 is funny, original and wacky. I am a true believer in what Tom Mabe is doing. He is the voice for all of us that don't have the gumption to tell the telemarketers how much they're a pain i n the butt!! Tom Mabe for President!! Nuff said.

This CD is just as good as round 1. Telemarketers are bottom dwelling scum suckers and anytime you can successfully embarass or discommode one, it's a major coup!

Tom is hilarious, especially when he makes the telemarketers look as stupid as they are. Keep up the good work!

1.0 out of 5 stars BORING!!!!, April 13, 2002

This CD is really bad. First of all his voice is really grating on your nerves. He sounds like he lives in a trailer park down in the south somewhere. And the matieral is not funny at all. It might be funny to his redneck friends he plays it for, but for someone that has a little intelligence, it's lame. If you want to but a funny prank phone call CD try the Touchtone Terrorist. Tom Mabe stinks!

1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing Funny, November 9, 2001

This review is from: Revenge on the Telemarketers: Round Two (Audio CD)
I bought this CD along with Roy D Mercer thinking it may be funny. Nothing about Tom Mabe is funny. The tracks are pointless and dumb. None of them have a funny conclusion. If you want to be bored buy this CD

1.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Horrible, October 3, 2001

This review is from: Revenge on the Telemarketers: Round Two (Audio CD)
I'm a huge "Jerky Boy's" fan , and when I saw this cd I thought it would be funny. A little twist to what the Jerky Boys did. I sat and tried to laugh at this , but found nothing funny about it. I think the funniest thing about this is that this guy really thinks he's funny. The characters stink and the tracks go nowhere. I've laughed harder at my nephew's "Barny" cd's. At least he has a character. I couldn't even trade this thing in for a quarter. A little advice to you Tom..... Mabe you should keep your day job.
