Editorial Reviews

WC is one of Los Angeles' most dominant street artists. He emerged on the scene of Hip Hop back in the golden era of the Wast Coast Sound and later joined forces with Ice Cube to become a member of one of the most controversial groups in Hip Hop of all time, The West Side Connection. In the midst of dropping solo projects he later went on tour with Dr. Dre, Eminen and Snoop to show the world how to crip walk and throw up the W on a world-wide circuit.

5.0 out of 5 stars WC IS BRINGING BACK THE TRUE WEST COAST SOUNDS April 14, 2011
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I love WC. When I listen to this album it takes me back to when MC's were doing music for fun and for the love of the game and not for shooting videos with naked girls and champaign bottles. Thanks WC. This is what I call a great album. If you loved previous material from this men like "Guilty By Suspicion" you would like this album. You have Ice Cube, Daz, Kurupt, Bad Lucc & Soopaply, Juvenile & Maylay featured on this album. He also dedicated one song to the HIP HOP THUGSTA "EAZY-E". The song is called 100% legit. All WESTCOAST FANS. You won't be disappointed if you buy this.

5.0 out of 5 stars gangsta rap pioneer March 9, 2011
Format:Audio CD
WC came tight on this one. You don't hear music like this to often, like he says most of these rap n****s is hoes! I met him in at one of Cube concerts in Louisiana, he's real not like all these fake ass clowns. My favorite track on the cd is reality show and the song with Kokaine on it classic tracks. Who ever sleeping on Dub C need to to grab this, it's definately worth your money, you can just let it play all the way through without skipping songs. Shout out to Crazy Tunes!

W.C. is a west coast legend, hands down. He's been doing it for about 25 years (!!), and hasn't lost a step. If anything, like fine wine, he just gets better with time. This album just blew me away. He came out so fresh, so full of energy, so hungry - like he's a 20 years old rapper on his debut. The album is just what the rap game isn't anymore - real, street oriented. No talks about having stacks of money (what most rappers don't have anyway), women, cloths, cars. Just about the streets, keeping it real. On this album, for the first time, WC comes out hard, critisizing these days rappers, with their skinny jeans, reality shows, sun-shade glasses or whatever. All over the album he shows them for what they really are - a sad joke. His delievery is as always, powerful, strong, full of energy and in this album - anger. His voice is most definitely one of the best in the industry. The production is handled mostly by unknown producers (other than Fredwreck who produced a couple of tracks), but is surprisingly good, West Coast rap at it's finest, not sounding out-dated of all. Guests are Ice Cube, Juvenile, Kurupt, Daz, and Malay (who's on 3 songs, I have no idea why, he's weak). The topics are what WC is best known for - street life, violence, strugling, representing the hood and the west, and a lot of critisizm of today's rap scene, and the rappers involved (it seems like WC is really pissed off about those punks). WC also shows his amazing ability as a storyteller (he does that on each album) on the song "D-Boy". It's one of the albums that you'll listen to from beginning to the end without skipping a song - something extremely rare in the last decade or so. It's short, sweet, and a proof that real quality rap still excists these days, no matter the rapper's age. I salute WC for this top notch album - I rate it 4.5 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dub CCCCC June 4, 2014
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
The Shadiest one from the Westside Connection is one of the baddest gangsta rap artist on the west coast. This CD is one of my favorites by him and looking at his music videos, I can see his complete vision. Revenge of The Barracuda has this one song where he gets a chorus of people on the hook say "He is the greatest you ever known, DUB CCCC" and I can just picture him doing a C-walk with this chorus behind him. He doesn't have many guests outside of Ice Cube and Maylee (his protege) to help him deliver a quality CD. When I have this playing in my ride, I'm blastin it in my 'hood... WC is worth blastin and you'll know why when you hear it and start bobbin your head to the westcoast sounds in ya speakers. B grade

4.0 out of 5 stars Tight, Tight, Tight May 28, 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
This album is tight!!! True West Coast Gangster Rap, my favorite cuts are "Reality Show, You Know Me with Cube & Revenge of the Barracuda" but overall this is a slept on album and if you like WestSide Connection, Ice Cube or hardcore West Coast, you're gonna love this album. "100% Legit" is also tight. His best album in my opinion. Do yourself a favor and cop it!
