5.0 out of 5 stars A great experience
I bought this cook ware about six months ago and extremely happy with it.
I have usd other brands of stainless steel, but they do not compare with this. The copper clad heats up almost instantly, which cooking a great experience. I even enjoy cleaning the copper after using.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just be careful
These are the cutest pans I've ever seen. They have nice wide, easy to hold handles. They also cook very nicely. The problem is... If your a space case like me, and tend to forget you have something cooking...BE CAREFULL! I read the review about the bottom melting and that's pretty scarry. I have had these pots for about 3 years now and they are starting to warp. The...

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful and Solid, just a bit heavy for an old foggie like me., March 11, 2006

I bought this starter set for my son and his new bride. They look beautiful, and seem to be well made. I was actualy impressed by the quality when I opened the box. I have been shopping for new cookware for myself for over a year, and these are fine quality. I have problems lifting and they would be a bit heavy for me, but the kids are young, so no problem. My son reported back that they cook wonderfully,(when did he start cooking?) Both he and his wife were impressed. I think they would last you a lifetime. Very well constructed nice copper bottoms, solid rivits, tight fitting lids. A real good product for the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars melting pot??, April 6, 2006

Any empty pot on a hot stove is a hazard. The melting bottom problem reported by another reviewer is user error, not a product defect.

These pots are terrific. Nicely designed and weighted, attractive, and durable. Comparable in quality to high-end brands, but MUCH more economical!

I got this set when I lived in a house with an electric stove... and these pots and pans were amazing. The copper core seemed to serve its purpose of distributing heat evenly, everything was peachy... and I liked not having to always be careful not to scratch off the nonstick lining (which was why I bought these in the first place).

However, I moved into a house with a nicer kitchen with a gas stove. Can I just say, if you want to use this set with a gas stove, be cautious of getting burned! I usually turn it up to "high" when I'm boiling water to make pasta or noodles or whatever, and I guess the handles are not protected... why would they make the handles metal anyway? And the entire pot lid? Gas stoves seem to heat the lid more than electric ones too, because I burned myself pretty badly with the lid.

Overall, I still give a high rating because these are really great. For electric stoves.

5.0 out of 5 stars Revere Copper Ellipse, January 14, 2006

We had looked for copper bottomed Revere cookware everywhere as we wanted to put our 20 year old set in our camper and have a new set for the house. This is much more heavily built than our old, more expensive, set. The copper bottoms are thicker and the rolled steel handles much sturdier than the composite handles of the old set. All in all we were extremely surprised and pleased to get a a nice set like this for little more than we could have bought a light weight non-copper bottomed set at a discount store.

5.0 out of 5 stars Minnesota Charlie, March 20, 2007
This review is from: Revere Copper Ellipse 7-Piece Set (Kitchen)
We purchased this set to compliment our older Revere Ware set. The large stock pot came damaged & Amazon sent a new set out right away. We love Amazon! The pans are sturdy and handles are solid & the whole set screams quality. I will buy a few more sets for my kids because the pans will last them a life time. And we love the fact that the kids can use metal spoons and such in the pans because there is no coating to scrape off. Don't forget Revere Ware offers a great warrenty on there products.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this set, September 14, 2006
This review is from: Revere Copper Ellipse 7-Piece Set (Kitchen)
I bought this set at $35 in Corning Revere outlet as display unit, figured for cooking ware display unit has no difference than new ones as long as you are not buying it as gift ...

It looks beautiful, distributes heats quickly and evenly and best of all, so easy to clean compare to non-stick cookware. My husband was totaly against it when I bought it because he felt stainless steel cookware are not non-stick, so not good for cooking chinese stir-fry and now he is taking it back! Even though it is not non-stick, the food is easily scraped from it during cooking as long as there is a hint of moisture so it will NOT actually stick. It works great for our chinese cooking so far and we actually feel the dish tastes better with it!

I like this set much better than my old non-stick cookware.

This is my first experience with a set of stainless steel pots. I have to say that I am impressed with the weight of this set. It certainly is not flimsy! Easy to clean, easy to polish. This is the first set of pots and pans that I have not kept hidden in my cabinets. They look great hanging in my kitchen. I also wish that you could buy seperate pots. I may have to buy another set!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pans at a super great price, January 10, 2007
This review is from: Revere Copper Ellipse 7-Piece Set (Kitchen)
I can't believe the quality of these pans for the price! They are nice and heavy weight. And have held up tremendously for our large family's everyday home cooking. (I think we've had them about 2 years now, or close.) And I wasn't unhappy with my previous Revere copper bottom stainless steel. But it was so much thinner. These are much better, and heat much more evenly. I am sold on 18/10 SS. Only complaint would be the lids aren't as heavy/sturdy. We've got a few bumps in them. Oh, and my kids have burned plenty of things in these really bad (due to their lack of care, not any problem with the pan)and they have cleaned up beautifully. At this quality and even the price I paid, which was $15-20 more, the only regular cooking pans I'd be tempted to spend more on is Maxam 7 ply SS stackable waterless cookware. I may change my mind in 10 years, but right now, these are serving us very well.
