With 3 inches of depth to hold lots of drumsticks, breasts, and thighs, this 12-inch pan is perfect for frying chicken and then finishing it under a tight-fitting lid that prevents splatters. There's no reason, however, to limit the pan to chicken. It's also perfect for frying any food, for steaming vegetables evenly in one layer, and for braising, say, a pot roast on the stovetop or in the oven. (The phenolic handles and knob are oven-safe to 350 degrees F.) Revere's Tri-Ply cookware is made of handsome, mirror-finish, 18/10 stainless steel for easy cleaning. The bottom of each pot or pan has an aluminum disk sandwiched between the layers of stainless steel to spread heat quickly and evenly. This fryer has a loop on its handle for hanging on a hook or peg, should be hand washed, and carries a 25-year warranty against defects.
