While I have enjoyed previous series of Rev Black I found this one dragged a bit. I actually had to make myself finish it. It just seemed like I heard it all before. I actually miss some of the drama from previous books. I think this story is complete and it is time to move on to more exciting characters. I do enjoy the author's writing and look forward to her next series.

We are back for the 9th installment in the Rev. Curtis Black series and let me tell you if you know anything about the Black family you know that you are in for the ride of your lives!

Curtis is determined to divorce Charlotte after her double infidelity last year, but Charlotte has other plans. She is not going to give up on her family without a fight, and boy is she in for a fight! No matter what she does, nothing seems to be good enough. Curtis is treating her like a stranger in their home, Matthew is still hurt and barely speaks to her and Curtina is 4 so she loves Charlotte and right now that is what is keeping her afloat but she needs more. Curtis is hurt and tired of the back and forth between him and Charlotte and has began talking with a female member of the church. She is nice, listens to him and doesn't judge him but what Curtis doesn't know is that just most women, she is trying to figure out how to be the next Mrs. Curtis Black. Will there ever NOT be problems for the Black family?!?!? You will just have to read and find out!

I love Kimberla writing style and the way she keeps us coming back for more. Her storylines are strong and if you know anything about the way Roby writes you know if something small happens in this book, it will be HUGE in the next one! Looking forward to the next installment! Keep up the great work, you never disappoint me!

Wasted my money Kimberla usually writes better than this and what was the whole blow by blow steps of the relaxer I guess just to make more words.Total disappointment!

Having read the entire Curtis Black series I was terribly disappointed in this book. It was slow, boring and so unlike the previous books. I got the feeling that maybe someone has led the author to believe that she shouldn't write such "fiction" about "good church people" . This book was very disappointing and the fact that it can't be shared made it even worse since it was horrible and I know at least fifty people that paid for it and it clearly was not worth the wait or the price. Having serious doubt about ever reading ANY of her books again.

Enjoyed Charlotte and Curtis and the drama Sharon caused. Did think that although it was good I expected more to happen with Sharon.

I was so excited when I found out this book was coming out. I pre ordered it and waited with great anticipation. I was sore fully disappointed in this installment of the Curtis Black series. It started it out like it was going to have the same amount of drama that the first books had, however this one was very slow. I had to force myself to finish it. I need Ms. Roby to stop this series if this is what we have to look forward to.

Hmmm love miss Roby love her. This book just didn't do it for me. I kinds wish she would have waited and developed this one a bit more. I could have used a new Alicia black book rather than this Curtis black book. He already had astalker in book 2. Didn't really want to revisit that. Hey miss roby still watiting on sequel for changing faces!!!!!!!!

I have been reading this series for a while now but this will be my last book. I think the story has ran it's course and it's now flat out boring. I know God wil forgive us 70 X 70, but really now? One would think that by now, Charlotte would be growing in her faith and grace with God and stop making rookie mistakes but no, it is the same ole same old. Rev'd Curtis is no better, his eyes continue to rove and they are both a mess! What I didn't like most of all, was how the author dealt with Charlotte's drinking. She is an alcoholic and it is time someone send her to rehab or the church intervenes. I was just not impressed with the story. I must add however, that this author writes really well and minus this book, I am a great fan of hers! Actually, I have read every book she has written.
