5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful music for everyone, September 19, 2002
As my title to this review implies; everyone will love this cd.
From true classical "nuts" who want every inflection of an artist's performance to be spot on -to- your friend who never wants to listen to anything classical.

It is an album which can be "paid attention to" and which will yeild invaluable returns in terms of Nathaniel and Doris' artistic abilities. It can also be "ignored" and one will simply be lost in a beautiful "wash" of sounds.

Everyone should own a copy for those quiet moments shared with your most intimate friend, simply relax and let the worries of the day dissipate into the atmosphere.

5.0 out of 5 stars No Rough Edges, November 5, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Reverie - Romantic Music for Quiet Times / Nathaniel Rosen (DTS decoder required) (DVD Audio)
As the name implies, this recording is definately for quiet times. It is unintrusive and therefore quite relaxing! It exposes Mr. Rosen's deeply beautiful and completely polished tone. It's easy on the ears, just as intended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reverie, Nathaniel Rosen, Cello, January 5, 2000
By
Jim Lee (Atlanta, Georgia) - See all my reviews
This is a beautiful collection of pieces for cello piano. Mr. Rosen has complete command of the cello and and his playing is marked by wonderful tone and phrasing. He is truly a master of his craft. He is an artist of the highest rank. The final piece on this recording is especially meaningful when you consider that the Soprano, Kaaren Erickson, is heard for the last time before her tragic death. This is a CD that you will keep coming back to!
