I bought this book for my mother, and although I had to go through it with her, it made the whole concept of reverse mortgages so much easier for both of us to understand. i thought i had done my homework, but this book cleared up some misconceptions i had, and taught me a lot about the loan and it's pros and cons without trying to sell me on getting one. it also put my mind at ease about repaying the loan and what would be left for me and my siblings, and gave us something to think about in terms of making arrangements for our mother's future. It's definitely the best source on the subject that i've found yet.

I saw this book in a listing in the Wahington Post of the 10 best real estate book this year and bought it as a gift for my aunt and for my wife's aunt and uncle. I've been flipping through it and I'm really impressed with the level of information in this book. It's easy to read, and I think even our 70-something relatives will be able to understand the concepts. What we liked best about it is that it doesn't talk down to you, and offers many resources unaffiliated with the book for extra help. I would highly recommend this book.

This book has been a major help. Its exactly what I was looking for! It is a clear and concise guide that really walks you through the whole process. A must have if you or your loved ones are considering a reverse mortgage.

What a breath of fresh air!! Finally, someone who can articulate the advantages of reverse mortgage in terms that my mother (senior citizen), and I, (not senior citizen), can understand. The insight and information that this book contains is priceless. I am going to recommend this book to ALL of my friends!!

This book is full of great information for Seniors... It is so easy to follow... I will recommend it to all of my friends...

I bought and read this little book that is packed with excellent information and, as a result, got a reverse mortgage. The Cash now available to me has paid off some medical bills and made it possible to make some repairs on my home in preparation for the hurricane season. It's a fail safe way of converting equity in your home to cash that you can enjoy now, instead of giving all of it to your inheritors when you die. I recomment it enthusiastically.

I bought this book with the idea that I was going to get a reverse mortgage and just wanted to read up before I took the idea to my broker. It actually showed me that a reverse mortgage was the wrong choice for me, and I'm so grateful that I read this book. I probably saved thousands of dollars! I got a different state loan that I'd never even heard of before this book and I know I made the right decision. If you're considering a reverse mortgage BUY THIS BOOK! You'll be glad you did.

I've searched articles on the web, had the required reverse mortgage counseling, and bought this book. All you really need is this book.In coverage, organization, and language, it presents and clarifies a solution of a major problem for seniors.

I originally bought the Pocket Guide about reverse mortgages, after seeing a review in the paper that claimed it was a must-read. However, I was disappointed in that book's content, and didn't feel I took away enough "usable" information. So I bought this one and let me tell you, what a difference! I loved the authors' style and easy to read language, and I feel like I got a lot more use out of this one. My copy has been loaned out to several friends, and it's covered in post-its and notes. If you're looking at both reverse mortgage books and can't decide, either get them both or save yourself a few bucks and get this one.

Somewhat informative, some articles are confusing, but for the foremost it helped me determine what I can/want to do when I retire, in regards to obtaining a reverse mortgage for retirement income.
