Very good Sticks,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Good sticks for the price. I practice Giron Escrima and had to cut them to 24 inches. Also, it's laquered, which if used a lot will chip and cut you. I usggest sanding it down till the laquer coating is gone. I have used this at full force practicing with my teacher and it holds up real well.

Doce Pares or 12 pairs... lethal fighting sticks..for real!,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Since the emergence of Bruce Lee, and the debut of Enter the Dragon, where in one fight scene, Bruce, intoduced the use of the Philipino double sticks as they were termed. The Philipino martial, known as Escrima utilizes this sticks, usually made of soft wood called rattan, for combative purposes. I recently purchased a a set these fighting sticks, called doce Pares, which in Spanish, means 12 pairs. Though, never formally trained, just practicing with them has demonstrated to the awesome power, these weapons possess. In the hands of an expert, these weapons, can make an assailant wish he stayed indoors. I mostly use mine, to limber up, and keep my body moving. There have many books written on the history and use of these weapons. Amazon carrys a number of these books. So what are you waiting for! Joe Scalise.
