Before finding this book with Amazon's search, I had spent two hours at the local college library looking for texts to study. The Clep Natural Science test covers several areas of science. It took six texts books to cover all the needed material. I was overwhelmed when I got home with these books...it seemed like it would take forever to read and digest them all!I thought it would be best if I wrote notes on the main topics of each book. I began with Chemistry, I spent two hours on the first ten pages! That is when I decided I'd go to Amazon to see if they had an easier solution. I ordered the book and was so happy to find that they had done all the summarizing and note taking for me! A big bonus is that they are familiar with what is on the test. Without this book I would have studied many more things that aren't even on the test. I also love the method that they suggest for taking the test and getting more answers correct. It is simple and is not mentioned in any other books or literature that I have read about Clep testing. I'm very happy with my purchase...this test now seems do-able!

I had not taken a science class in almost ten years and found the information useful. I would suggest this book because it also explains the test format and includes a practice test along with a glossary. I only used this book and I got a 490 on the test (enough to pass).

i wouldn't be able to pass by using this book alone. i used the plato computer programs at the navy college, and a book which specifies in all the sciences. when my time was up, i had about 30 blanks. amazingly, i substantially passed w/ a 490. w/ the subject still fresh in my brain, i took the biology clep exam 4 days later, again scoring substantially high w/ a 51. it definitely helps to keep answers blank if you're not sure. i suggest looking at the outlines for both exams and getting your study material from there.
