Gritty jungle combat!,

This was my first foray into roleplaying games, and my best one too.
Recon is an awesome jungle combat game, quick to make charicters and simple functional combat rules. Some of my friends never could get the hand to hand rules, but they make sense if you can wrap your head around them. I have looked over this book a ton since i was a teenager, and as a man approaching middle age, it still amuses me to see all the 60's era weapons,armor and aircraft,of both sides. Even the random tables and minitures rules were slick. Yes for the price, this games the best. You could even update it by basing campaigns in current times, but i liked it the best while "snoop'n and poop'n" in the jungles, deltas and mountains of south vietnam. Not Laos or Cambodia though, cause there were never American forces there right?..... Thanks for all the good times Recon.
