I have been reading more and more on critique's of this show. I have to tell you, and again, it's just my opinion, but when I read these posts, not in here, that gordon is not saving them it bother's me. You have to take the first statistic that more than 85 percent of all restaurants don's see their very first birthday. Start with that. Then Ramsay comes in where the lowest debt a restaurant had was 250 thousand up to 2 million. I could go on but I wont. So then Ramsay comes in, but I believe in almost every single case it's too late. If Ramsay comes in much earlier, there might be a chance they would be saved. Ramsy works with the staff, has business consultants, redecorates, adds brand new equipment, even has part of his staff stay behind to help for at least a month which most of the time means more time than that, works with a therapist for the idea's of working with the families and the owners, and works with the staff and the head chef. How much more does everyone want from this guy in one week? He doesn't promise anything but to help. These people don't follow up with what he teaches them, and what they are not reporting is that when they sell their business, they are only able to sell it for a profit, and at worse, they are able to get out even all due to the changes that Ramsay put in place. Otherwise they wouldn't even be able to sell it. It is not fair to post the closings of these restaurants without stating an opinion as to why other than Ramsay didn't help. It is just plain silly. And Ramsay has saved plenty of them. But the failure rate is obviously higher, but that is to be expected. This is a tv show to entertain us, the public. But it does not mean that Ramsay does not help. He does. It's all a matter of what you count as success.Read more ›

Gordon Ramsay never tells them they are pathologically depressed ( and they surely are in some cases) and I think that is a good idea. He gets to the core issues and gets them moving.

Very interesting show. I have learned a lot. I am more careful about where I eat out especially while traveling.

I have been watching Gordon Ramsey for years. I have watched Kitchen Nightmares, Hells Kitchen and other programs. He is balls to the wall. He tells it like it is and underneath all that rough exterior, he is mushy inside. I will keep watching as long as he keeps making these seasons. Love it.
