Great album by one of the masters,

A great, gentle, funny Delta country blues album by one of the great performers of the genre. Mississippi John Hurt was rediscovered decades after his original career ended, by the folk music revival. He appeared at the Newport Folk Festival, toured the folk circuit, and was finally given the credit he deserved. This is a quiet album, just vocals and guitar (I'm puzzled by the other reviewers, as all I hear is great guitar picking, no harmonica), recorded at a college campus concert in the early 1960's.

Mr. Heyert's got it right. Mississippi John knows what he's doing. The revisited CD was quite enjoyable and i would recommend it to any soul lover. He plays a great harmonica which you cant help but notice.

Pure genius,

This CD captures this blues master in his fertile late 60's period. Mr. Hurt with just a harmonica makes more music than a lot of orchestras. Soulful and with a true Delta feel "Revisited" is a great album for those who love great songs performed sincerely.
