I'm a player in a Virtual Reality online game called There. Steadman performed Live in game for the players on 11/16 and we were all blown away. They rocked!!! My 1st time hearing them and I instantly became a fan!!! Be sure to check them out!

WOW!! What can I say that hasn't already been said?? This is great stuff, I can't seem to get enough Steadman. I've only known about the band since their performance in There on Nov. 16, but I have been listening to their album nonstop since then, and I really do mean nonstop! My favorites are Carried, Two Together, Live It Up, No Big Deal and Create Your Fate, but the other songs are all close seconds. I agree with an earlier post that Simon has the voice of an angel. These guys are incredibly talented; together they create music that just cannot be beat. The last album I played non-stop was U2's WAR album and that was 20 years ago! Steadman's music is definitely a breath of fresh air in my life.

This album contains tracks that are of a universally high standard. It is not an album with a single plus fillers like so many others. It is instantly attractive but complex enough to grow on you over time. The lyrics are thoughtful and enhanced by the remarkable voice of the lead singer. It all has a great balance supplemented by some excellent lead guitar playing.

I was eagerly awaiting this album, and it does not let me down. In a day where the pop/rock genre is washed out and each band is indistinguishable from the next, Steadman comes in to give music fans a breath of fresh air. Their musicianship, melodies, lyrics, and Simon's vocals are all superb. I won't mention the Beatles, Crowded House, Oasis, and early Radiohead comparisons, because those have been mentioned everywhere, but it's worth pointing out that this is an original band with a new and different twist on those familiar sounds. Also worth mentioning is that Revive is an ALBUM instead of a collection of singles and filler which has somehow become the norm for 95% of pop/rock albums these days. I highly suggest checking this album out. This band is moving up, and are on the verge of national attention. Get this album now and be ahead of the game.

Girl goes to show to see headliner. Girl is not privy to opening band. Girl leaves show completely blown away and feeling blessed to have stumbled upon perhaps one of the greatest sounds to hit the airwaves! Steadman's compilations are mesmerizing, haunting, dreamy, melancholy and bittersweet...the primordial percussions of Russ add to the daunting vocals of Simon as they meld with the rest of the boys of the band. One can get lost in their journey. Your day is not complete unless you hear Revive! It will be played until the grooves wear thin...promise! Not only are they an amazing crew musically, they are some of the nicest and most gracious blokes to cross the sea...

There are plenty of bands that have hummable hooks and catchy choruses, but don't affect me much more deeply than that. But once in a very great while, one of those bands comes along that makes me stop short and remember what it's like to feel alive. Steadman is one of those bands. Revive starts with a punch to the gut that stirs up multiple feelings: the stomach-dropping sensation of a roller coaster; the heart-about-to-explode bliss of a first kiss; the excruciating anticipation of the night before Christmas. The production is amazing; the songs flow together seamlessly through various moods until the inspirational and uplifting title-track finale, which features a hidden ending so beautifully serene one could disappear into it completely.

I'm not one to define a band's sound with Rock-n-Roll Recipes, but I will say that fans of later Beatles, earlier Pink Floyd, 70's Todd Rundgren, Jeff Buckley, Jason Falkner, the Dandy Warhols, Jellyfish, the Posies, Oasis, Travis, Aimee Mann and the like would definitely not be disappointed. Singer Simon Steadman's enthusiasm is evident, and the lyrics are refreshingly positive. Incredible drumming, layered guitars, harmonies, falsetto, and la la la's make this music a smorgasbord of sonic surprises. Each song is a perfect Power Pop masterpiece. Steadman needs to be GIGANTIC.

...Like being hit with a gust of cool wind while walking down Sunset Boulevard. Not your average album, Revive doesn't slip seamlessly into the glitz and glamour, the collagen lips and augmented breasts... Revive has an edge that keeps it fresh and cool, giving it the ability to slip into the Sunset crowd, but with enough soul and retro rock and roll to make it authentic. Steadman, fronted by Simon with drums by the effervescent Russell, have a gritty capacity to rock to the stage and your CD player. When I stepped into the Jason Mraz concert, and this young group of guys came rushing onto the stage old-school style with lights flashing and music blaring, I wasn't sure I wanted to give them a shot. I was a leary that they were a little full of themselves. However, when Steadman emerged and started their set, it was truly amazing. They know how to play good rock and roll and put on a fantastic show while doing it. I bought the CD, and popped it into my CD player hoping to recapture a bit of the feeling of their live show. I listened to the groovy tunes and became more and more excited when realizing that I loved each song on the disc. I was highly impressed by this album, their show and I think Steadman are the real deal and look forward to hearing their music for years to come.

Steadman is hands down my absolute favorite band!!! I saw them open for Jason Mraz in Seattle this month and they totally blew me away!! Revive is such an AMAZING album... each song is incredible! The album includes upbeat songs as well as some mellow songs so it will fit your every mood! They really do make refreshing music. We need more positive music for a change! You will not be disappointed if you get this, I promise! They are SOOOO good!! trust me.. I can't wait till I get Loser Friendly in the mail!

This cd is amazing. I saw Steadman in Northfield, MA with Jason Mraz and hung out with them for a little while. They were really cool. They are so down to earth and Simon has an amazing voice. If you are looking for an original style of music that will catch your ear and heart, then buy this album!

Like another reviewer, I also first heard Steadman in an online virtual world called There (www.there.com) where Steadman performed live on 11/16. The music is fun and the lyrics are catchy...I'm HOOKED!!
