This lip stain looks great and lasts a long time.
I love wearing bold lip colors but I hate the usual drying and stickiness of many lipsticks.
Looks nice and natural in the summer when all you want is a hint of color.

I'm a Clinique Black Honey devotee who's always on the hunt for something cheaper that doesn't always break on me. (Why Black Honey doesn't just come in a regular tube I'll never know).

Although not perfect, this is a great substitute.

Here's why:

-The color is very similar to Black Honey but with a bit more red. It reminds me of Revlon's Goldpearl Plum, if you're familiar with that.

-The texture is dry. Not stay-on lipstick dry, but it's definitely not gummy or greasy, which I hate.

-The format is convenient and easy to apply. Just rub on the stick and you're good to go. It doesn't bleed much. You could even get away with applying it without a mirror.

Things to be aware of:

-It has a bit of a pepperminty taste and smell to it. It's pretty mild but it's there.

-I said this above, but it's worth saying again - this is a dry formula. If you have chronically chapped or dry lips it's definitely not for you. You could probably put a balm over it if you want but I've never tried that.

-It's called a stain but the only thing that's stain-ish about it is its staying power. It doesn't have the watery texture of most lipstains. It's more similar to Clinique's Chubby Sticks.

All in all, I like it and plan on buying more.

I'm the type of girl who doesn't leave the house without color on my lips. I've tried just about every type of lip color out there and this is my absolute new fave. I used to wear all day wearing lipstick, but it often looked and felt too heavy to wear during the day; it was ok at night, but too dramatic for day. But as for Just Bitten Balm Stain, it's the perfect daytime lipcolor. I LOVE this new product and will continue to buy more of them once I run out of my current shade (Adore, which is a subtle flush of true red color). The color lasts most of the day, the color is somewhat sheer with a natural flush of color, it's not as moisturizing as a chapstick balm, but it's certainly more so than other 'all day' lipcolors. I love the color on my lips and how it gives a natural sheen/shine too. And it is kiss proof too. I wake up in the morning and I still have a hint of the color leftover. This product is great for those girls who want a more natural shade of lipcolor that's easy to apply, stays all day and won't dry out your lips. In comparison to Covergirl Outlast, these products could not be more different. Outlast is like war paint that is impossible to wash off, feels very dry on your lips, and wears very heavy, thus not looking natural; plus it requires a second gloss product to make it look shiny. I can't say enough how obsessed and satisfied I am with this new product. I hope Revlon continues to make it and not discontinue it because I would be extremely disappointed and would be inclined to buy up every last lipcolor before they're all gone.

Since first trying this lip stain, I've bought several more in different colors. The colors are beautiful with a sheer stain that doesn't dry out my lips like other lip-stains do. It's smooth and keeps my lips soft without being overly glossy and stickey. It's also a great lip product for chapped lips because it doesn't have that cakey, peeling obvious chapped lips look that lipstick has when wearing...It smoothes and soothes lips reducing the look of dry, cracked flaking lips while still being able to have color on them. I use them everyday and love them. They even work great applied over regular lipstick.

I currently use the loreal infallible lip stain, and though it makes your lips feel dry, it absolutely does not budge. I bought this because it looked much simpler, and moisturizing rather than drying
What I noticed first was that the bullet does not match the tube, and the bullet does not match the true color. It goes on a brownish-red, but does look a little pink. It does have sparkle in it, which threw me off when I opened it, but it's very subtle on the lips. I do wish it were a little less shiny though. It's nice, buildable color that looks natural and feels like a balm rather than a lipstick.
It does have a peppermint-y smell/taste, but it doesn't really bother me. It's very subtle, like mint waxed floss.
It is NOT a stain. I applied a few thin layers and left it to set. About an hour later, the color was still strong but was still thick/sticky, like a chapstick. I went to blot, and found a really bold kiss mark on the paper. I didn't touch up or blot again, and I went to dinner a little later. When I came back the color had faded significantly, and if you didn't know better you would think it had gone completely, but my lips were slightly pinker than they usually are. Some of my lipstick lipsticks do the same thing after being wiped off. It does seem pretty invincible to talking/occasional lip licking, but until it's mostly removed, it remains balmy and transferrable, and the transfers stains whatever it touches. I could get the same final effect by putting on a lipstick and wiping it off. The color did stain and was visible after eating and wiping a few times with my napkin, but it's a little misleading and I wouldn't even imagine kissing someone with this on.
That said, it is a decent product.
