1.0 out of 5 stars A waste of money, February 21, 2010
This review is from: Revlon Gentle Heat Lash Curler (Health and Beauty)
This was a real waste of money. Luckily I bought it for 75% off at a going-out-of-business sale. It did nothing at all for my eyelashes, not even a little bend. I can't even think of an alternate use for it, other than adding to the land fill. I'll stick with warming up my old-fashioned eye lash curler by running it under hot water or holding it over a light bulb for a few seconds!

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this lash curler!, November 10, 2010

This review is from: Revlon Gentle Heat Lash Curler (Health and Beauty)
I don't know if maybe the other reviewers on here aren't using it correctly or something, but it is fantastic for my eyelashes. To get the crimper style to work I typically had to hold it on for a full minute for each eye while it pinched and pulled, and it usually put a "bend" instead of a curl, then doesn't even last for more than a few hours!

In contrast, the Revlon curler is faster and lasts until the next morning! After I put on my mascara, I slowwwwwwwly apply the wand from base to tip (like 15-20 seconds) so it heats the lash while I push my lashes up in a curled position. Then I do it a second time at the outer corners, and voila - my eyes look wide open with beautiful lashes pointing curled and UP. I only got it a couple weeks ago and still look at my eyes in amazement at the end of the day and even the next morning - still fresh and sparkly.

The only "problem" I have now is my favorite mascara (Maybelline Lash Stiletto) comes off here and there in teeny tiny specks from the heat, then I have to pick off 2-3 specks from the lashes and reapply. But it did that even worse with other mascaras I tried so aside from using a waterproof mascara I don't know if there is a better way.

I threw my crimper style curlers straight into the trash the very day I tried this - it is so superior to that old method.

4/10/11 UPDATE:
I have now tried Sephora's heated lash curlers (both full size and mini-travel) and I can say that Revlon's is better, for the simple reason that it lasts much longer and consistently on the battery. While Sephora's curler will start out super hot with a fresh battery, over maybe a month or so the heat will fade and fade until it's hardly even warm, even though the power light is on (which means the light is all but useless as an indicator), whereas Revlon's curler I may have changed the battery once, I can't remember for sure - but the design is such that it stays fully hot while there is any battery life left - not fading as time goes by.

1.0 out of 5 stars great idea, bad product, June 16, 2010

I loved the idea of this product. I hate having to crimp my lashes! Some of my lashes always get overly crimped- so I bought this. It did absolutely nothing to my lashes at all.
