A waste of money,
By
This review is from: Revlon Gentle Heat Lash Curler (Health and Beauty)
This was a real waste of money. Luckily I bought it for 75% off at a going-out-of-business sale. It did nothing at all for my eyelashes, not even a little bend. I can't even think of an alternate use for it, other than adding to the land fill. I'll stick with warming up my old-fashioned eye lash curler by running it under hot water or holding it over a light bulb for a few seconds!

I love this lash curler!,

I don't know if maybe the other reviewers on here aren't using it correctly or something, but it is fantastic for my eyelashes. To get the crimper style to work I typically had to hold it on for a full minute for each eye while it pinched and pulled, and it usually put a "bend" instead of a curl, then doesn't even last for more than a few hours!
In contrast, the Revlon curler is faster and lasts until the next morning! After I put on my mascara, I slowwwwwwwly apply the wand from base to tip (like 15-20 seconds) so it heats the lash while I push my lashes up in a curled position. Then I do it a second time at the outer corners, and voila - my eyes look wide open with beautiful lashes pointing curled and UP. I only got it a couple weeks ago and still look at my eyes in amazement at the end of the day and even the next morning - still fresh and sparkly. The only "problem" I have now is my favorite mascara (Maybelline Lash Stiletto) comes off here and there in teeny tiny specks from the heat, then I have to pick off 2-3 specks from the lashes and reapply. But it did that even worse with other mascaras I tried so aside from using a waterproof mascara I don't know if there is a better way. I threw my crimper style curlers straight into the trash the very day I tried this - it is so superior to that old method. ***************************** 4/10/11 UPDATE: I have now tried Sephora's heated lash curlers (both full size and mini-travel) and I can say that Revlon's is better, for the simple reason that it lasts much longer and consistently on the battery. While Sephora's curler will start out super hot with a fresh battery, over maybe a month or so the heat will fade and fade until it's hardly even warm, even though the power light is on (which means the light is all but useless as an indicator), whereas Revlon's curler I may have changed the battery once, I can't remember for sure - but the design is such that it stays fully hot while there is any battery life left - not fading as time goes by.

I loved the idea of this product. I hate having to crimp my lashes! Some of my lashes always get overly crimped- so I bought this. It did absolutely nothing to my lashes at all.

Unimpressive product! Provides only slight curl to eyelashes. Save your money and but a standard eyelash curler.

Lash Curler,

I like the gentle heat lash curler by Revlon. It heats up quick and I like that it has the senor to let you know when it's ready - about 20 to 30 seconds. At first I thought I would be in danger of burning my eyes but it's pretty safe. It did a nice job of curing my lashes and separating any clumpy mascara. A traditional curler does give more of a dramatic result but I have a problem with the crimped look. So this product is great for nice looking natural curled, unclumpy, lashes. Would definately recommend to my friends, I actually already bought one for my sister!

this is truly amazing. It really works !! The design and heat of this product lets you curl your lashes the way you want. No pinching or missing eyelash hair. It won't burn your eyes at all the heat that puts out is warm enough to curl on the spot. I have been using this item for 3 yrs now and have had so many people ask if my lashes are real. This is because I can curl up and it makes the lashes look longer. You will not be disappointed in this product .

Revlon Gentle Heat Lash Curler is compact and heats up quickly. However, my straight eyelashes don't hold the curl when using this curler alone; best when used with a regular eyelash curler.

I usually get the Japonesque heated eyelash curler, but I was sick of the plastic always splitting. So I thought I'd try this one. Its' much more 'durable" feeling. Stays together better, and heats up very quickly. I like the indicator that changes color when it's ready. What I don't like is that it doesn't separate the lashes like the other one does. The "spaces" inbetween are bigger, so your eyelashes/mascara tend to bunch up. not cool.

This curler is nice in that it doesn't hurt, but it doesn't do a stunning job either.
