This is a LAWSUIT,
By Jackie (Chicago) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Revlon RVDR5005 Ion Select 1875 Watt Travel Dryer (Health and Beauty)
Ever since I got this dryer I noticed the handle got REALLY hot. Ive had it for about 3 months now, and one spot on the handle is so hot I couldn't even hold it properly.
Today, I was using it and all of a sudden black plumes of smoke started coming out of the handle, it was like the monster on Lost coming out of this dryer. Then it started sparking and died. This is a products liability lawsuit waiting to happen. This thing is down right dangerous, and a complete waste of [...]. What kind of crap is Revlon making???

This dryer is terrific. I can blow dry my hair in half the time that it took me with my old dryer. The attachment directs the heat. Wonderful.

Might Be Shocking,
By Lois P. (IL, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Revlon RVDR5005 Ion Select 1875 Watt Travel Dryer (Health and Beauty)
I have used a travel hair dryer for years. The Ionic Dryer by Sharper Image worked well for a long time. I recently replaced it with this Revlon model. I noticed that if I hit the cord while drying my hair, the dryer cut out. I believe there maybe a defect in the cording. I thought it might be the socket so I unplugged the dryer and went to replug. I mistakenly touched the plug only to really burn my fingers.
This dry is not worth repairing.I think I's rather buy a new dryer than a new house. Another negative is the buttons are difficult to slide from one setting to another. Thus making simple drying a two handed operation.
