Product Description

Hardworking and heavy-duty, the Discern from Revo is ready to take on whatever you have to dish out. The frame is made of a lightweight titanium which offers strong durability and style, while the Serilium lenses have Polarcast technology along with an anti-reflective coating that will decrease glare and increase optical clarity. Comfort was also on the forefront of the design, the Element Shed keeps dirt, debris, and sweat away, plus with Motion Fit and the cam-action spring hinges, you'll feel like these sunglasses were specifically designed just for you.

Polarcast polarization technology handles glare off water, snow, and sidewalk Nickel-silver alloy frames are lightweight and corrosion-resistant for comfort and durability Element Shed coating helps keep lenses clean despite finger-oil, sweat, and mud Anti-reflective coating eliminates light that is otherwise reflected off the inside of the lenses Spring hinges make for a comfortable, flexible fit

What a relief these sunglasses are to my light sensitive eyes. My last pair of Revo's lasted for 15 years of hard use so I know that they are a good value for the money. I was concerned about the shape of them and whether or not they would look good on me, no problems there - they are great. Love the clarity of vision that I have with the sunglasses. I would recommend them to anyone.

I bought the old style Revo Discern in 2009. When they broke in 2010, Revo offered me a new pair under a modified warranty (I hadn't kept the broken part) at $39.95. I was happy to have a new pair, but disappointed that they have changed the lens material from the optically superior glass to polycarbonate. I am a photographer and quite used to the subtleties of light and contrast and can "discern" quite a difference between the two materials. The plastic lenses are much less clear, allow for less sharp viewing of details, lower contrast, etc... overall a poorer optical experience. Add to that the fact that plastic lenses, regardless of what is written in the sales pitch, will scratch much more easily. It is inevitable that within a year of caring for these like they cost $250 (always using the case, always wiping with the microfiber cloth) you will have at the least micro-scratches, as I have found. These will further diminish the viewing quality.
My next pair will be Maui Jim. They still use glass lenses.

I love these glasses, I like the fact they are a bit heavy. I only wish there was a choice in sizes as us fat heads need a bit more width. I definatley recommend these glasses.

On my third pair of brown Discerns (broke one pair, gave away second pair, buying third pair now). I've owned other Revo models and always found the lens quality and frame construction vastly superior to other 'high end, mass retail' brands (egs Oakley, Ray Ban). Only drawback to this particular model: the metal frames tend to feel 'heavy' for the first few days. After a couple of days, I didn't notice the weight on my face.
