The Revol Eclipse 2.7-quart round baking dish (11 by 11 by 2.5 inches) offers durable and decorative oven-to-table baking and serving. In the oven, the temperature of Revol’s ceramic bakeware rises gradually, cooking food gently to release flavor. Out of the oven and onto the table, the dish stays warm so your food is hot throughout serving. Revol’s Eclipse series is made of all natural black porcelain and contains neither cadmium nor lead. The high firing temperature of 2408 degrees F is responsible for the porcelain’s smooth enamel interior glazing. The nonporous, easy-to-clean surface will not absorb fats, odors, or bacteria. Revol Eclipse porcelain is resistant to chipping, impact, and thermal shock and has sturdy single block handles. The baking dish is oven safe to 572 degrees F as wells as freezer, microwave, and dishwasher safe. Revol is an internationally renown, 11-generation, family-owned business that was established in France by two brothers in 1789.

I snagged this on the lightening deal the weekend before Christmas as a gift to my daughter. I wasn't sure about the brand and really could find no reviews on it.
All I know is that when it came up on the lightening deal, it was sold out in less than two minutes while I was searching for information! Lucky for me, it came on again the next hour in a different color. I set my alarm and bought it the second it came up. Again, they were sold out in less than one minute! My daughter, who is very "picky", adores this baking dish. She said it is gorgeous, and the performance is fantastic. I was lucky to get it for around $70. NOT for stove-top use. When they say "From stove to table" ....they mean oven to table.

I was SO excited to order this. I actually received this in a box, too large for the piece with absolutely NO wrapping or padding whatsoever and it was placed into another box, with no padding BUT, the bubble plastic was placed ON TOP of the inner box so behold, a Revol piece in at least 50 pieces of shard! Are you all recycling the broken piece you sent to an earlier customer? My dog would have known to wrap this with some protection! AND, I was dinged for shipping since it was under $25.00. I'd like a full refund, "shipping by monkeys", included, please!
