Book Description

March 1, 2011

Now that the Republicans have taken the House, How can they use their majority to reverse Obama's Socialist agenda?

Revolt! lays out a game plan for success. Morris and McGann explain how to use the debt limit and budget fights to force Obama to accept Republican policies while, at the same time, undermining his chances of victory in 2012.

Obamacare? Morris and McGann explain how to block the IRS enforcement of the requirement that everyone buy health insurance and how to stop the Medicare cuts and rationing.

Crippling Talk Radio and Taking Over the Internet? They explain how to prevent the FCC from blocking free speech in America.

Cap and Trade? They offer a blueprint for how to cut off EPA funding to stop it from imposing carbon taxes and regulation.

Unless we read their plan and act to implement it, Obama will raise taxes, end the mortgage interest and charitable deduction, raise Social Security taxes, and add trillions more to the federal deficit in the process. Conservatives need to fight back—and Morris and McGann explain how to do it.

Revolt! is their most important book yet. The GOP won the elections of 2010. Revolt! explains how to translate this avalanche of votes into power and action in Washington. Their plea: Don't surrender. Don't compromise. Don't give in. Just push ahead and win! Revolt! is the next step.

Morris and McGann's Outrage, Fleeced, Catastrophe, and 2010: Take Back America laid out the problem, predicted Obama's polices and their results, and articulated a plan for victory in 2010. Now Revolt! explains how to use this new power to defeat Obama.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dick Morris Socialism March 7, 2011
Format:Hardcover
This book is a joke. On the one hand, he would like to defeat Obama's socialist agenda, but on the other hand he wants to institute his own socialist agenda. This isn't what conservatism is all about. If you would like to Revolt! against any form of socialist agenda, whether it be Obama's or Dick's, you should read "The Road to Serfdom," "Economics in One Lesson," or the "Tea Party Goes to Washington."

1.0 out of 5 stars I don't know about you... March 8, 2011
Format:Hardcover
...but I'm a little tired of the Dick Morris' and Karl Rove's of the world telling us how to defeat socialist agendas when they promote their own brand. It's obvious to me that we slept a little on our fiscal conservatism when after Reagan the Bush's (who were supposed to be friends of Reagan) took office and looted our values. Well I can tell from the new crop of legislators like Mike Lee, Justin Amash, Rand Paul, Chris Christie, etc. there are a few people breaking the trance to get these guys in office. Those few I mentioned there seem to have what it takes to actually shrink government, restore liberty and believe in free markets.

If only I could say the same for Dick Morris. Then again, he's so entrenched in the establishment these days I'm sure he hardly notices. Personally I'd check out Tom Woods' 'Rollback.'

1.0 out of 5 stars Intellectually flawed March 7, 2011
By Howie G
Format:Hardcover
Check out a book by Ron Paul instead if you actually want to revolt against socialism. Other than being a blueprint for a few political shenanigans to stop a few government programs he is for several other obviously socialist and totalitarian programs like expanding the war on drugs and continuing to nation build. How that is conceptually different than what Obama is doing is beyond me. He is just living off the Democrat/ Republican tension without really adding anything to our freedoms or liberty. Henry Hazlitt had a great quote in the 50s about republicans "We [they] will administer this socialism better because we don't believe in it." Dick is not talking about eliminating socialism and transforming to a free society just transforming socialism to what he wants it to be. ie socialism for the big corporations, the DEA, the DOD, etc.

It's great info but I don't see it projecting into the future. The storyline seems to end with the last presidential election.

Dick Morris' book here is not at all quality. It was written out of the side of his neck, actually. He knows nothing of true patriotism, so why waste your time.
