4.0 out of 5 stars Hope in Life, here and now, September 17, 1999
This review is from: Revolution of Hope: Toward a Humanized Technology. Repr of the 1968 Ed (Paperback)
For those who have already read basics Fromm (Escape from Freedon, Man for Himself, Sane Society) will find Fromm's main ideas condensed in this book, but with a close approach to something often disregard in Social discussions, that is the need of a sound and rational hope. Hope, often regarded as a religion matter, is viewed from a humanistic viewpoint. Rational hope in life (love, happiness, etc,,) is the very basic step towards a Revolution. Fromm points out what all we know in more or less great extent: hope is a scarce good, now. Life without hope is like Life without principle. Hopeless society progress to destruction.
