Definite Potential for Inhabited,
By
This review is from: The Revolution (Audio CD)
Inhabited's debut album, "The Revolution," is a letter to the concience of each and everyone of us. The general theme of the album is precisely the title: Revolution... of the heart, soul and mind. Inhabited takes it a step further: making it our responsability to begin it within ourselves.
Inhabited's "The Revolution" is mostly about the lyrics. You haven't really heard this album until you sat down with the lyrics. Deep, powerful, meaningful words carve deep into the hearts of those that listen to them... specifically taken through the medium of Sara Acker's voice. The vocals of this album are exceptionally good. One can tell, with a single listen of the album, that Inhabited has unbelievable potential. The album leaves you slightly unfulfuilled (musically) since you can tell that the band's skilled musicians could do greater things. It's almost as if you could see the music building up to a pressure point, but never reaching it. One wants it to burst, but it just doesn't. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, since, for those that listen to (and like) this album, will most certainly expect greater things from this even greater band. So, the follow-up album is already on my list. Their devotion to God will most certainly ensure Inhabited's place in the Christian music industry and, if they play their cards right, they might reach the places that only God has set in His heart for them.

Rawks!,
By James P (Murray, KY USA) - See all my reviews

Honestly, there are only two songs I really love on the album, but those two by themselves earn the whole thing a 5/5. Revolution gets a 5/5. Why? It's just plain rock. Not any kind of metal, punk, alternative, nothing. It's rock 'n roll, straight up. And it's well done. Rescue Me gets a 5/5 as well. It's chords flirt every so slightly with metal or hard rock, but it retains the melody of truly great music so it hits hard and sounds good doing it.

The album absolutely rocks! I know the bass player, James. He's a friend of mine, and the music his band has written is awesome! I attended the cd release party, and they're great live. I suggest you pick up this cd right now! It offers a great message, and rocks out!! My Favorite Track is The Revolution. This album should actually get 6 stars.

A Wonderful Debut -- Is More Coming?,

I enjoyed hearing the Inhabited. Good quality rock, with a strong evangelistic message (which is the original purpose for CCM -- to get into witnessing situations the traditional church would not be able to get into). I love Sara Acker's vocals, especially.
My favorite songs on the project are "Open My Eyes", "Everybody Listen", "You Are My Peace", "Save My Life", and "Memories".

This is a great CD! My favorite song is Open My Eyes. If you like Inhabited you would probably like Plumb and Toby Mac.

I saw Inhabited in person and I thought that they were pretty good, so I decided to buy the cd. It's not my favorite cd I own, but I still like it. You don't have to be a Christian to enjoy good Christian rock.

Okay..but could have been better.,

The band has talent and the vocals are enjoyable but their simply isnt enought here to interest you. It's just radio friendly over produced rock n roll soft enough to be radio friendly and commercial but yet heavy enough to appeal to rock fans. In the end it's formulated and the lyrics are typical and cliche. Not saying their bad, i think they can do a lot better in the future.
