5.0 out of 5 stars One of my top 5 bands
After seeing them on Farmclub, I went searching for Insolence CDs. I found two available on their web site purchased them, and rocked, bounced, and head bobbed my way down the street. When I heard and "saw" Insolence in Driven, yes they have a small camio in the movie, I knew something big was gonna happen with this band. Their new CD did not let me down...

3.0 out of 5 stars excited to hear about the cd
I heard them on Farmclub and couldn't wait to find out if they had a cd out. I found it on Amazon and ordered it. There is some really good tracks on this cd. It's kind of a mix. Some songs sound more like Hard rock, some more like rap, some more like raprock. It's an ok cd though.

Poison Well and 1-2, 1-2 have to be my two favorite songs on this CD, but not far in front of the others. For anyone who likes hip-hop, metal, a diverse type of music this CD is for you!

4.0 out of 5 stars Rapsore may live on!, June 16, 2001

Well it seems the rapcore movement has not stopped or slowed down. While popular "mainstream" metal bands burn up the charts, many rapcore cd's seem to be dismissed just because of the genre. This is not a cd to dissmiss. Sounding like a cross between Sublime, P.O.D. and the Deftones, Insolence is a gem that must be given a chance. Songs that stand out are "Poison Well", "Game Over", and "Death Threat".

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible. Just incredible., June 30, 2001

After hearing "Poison Well" on the Driven soundtrack, I felt it a wise move to go and buy the recently released album by Insolence. This is one of the better, if not the best album buys i've ever made. I'm a big fan of stuff like Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Disturbed..etc..and this local San Jose band is absolutely destined for some glory. The CD is a a blend of many sorts, and strongly reminded me of Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory, but the songs felt a lot stronger. Bottom line, it's an awesome purchase and for the price, you have no excuse for not owning this CD.

Insolence is at the forefront of the new generation of metal. Infusing heavy as hell riffs, hip-hop grooves, and a smooth reggae flow into their blistering debut, the boys from San Jo have proved that they are a force to be reckoned with. I've been lucky enough to see them live quite a few times, including tours with Soulfly, Slaves on Dope, & ICP, and their live show further proves that Insolence leads the revolution. Pick this cd up, and you won't be disappointed.

This review is from: Revolution (Audio CD)
hey, this is a great album. very blended music. rap/hip hop/ metal/ reggae.... check it out.

anyways. i have some of their older albums... Within (First album) & Poisonous Philosophy and I was just curious what their worth. I know they went for 35-50 bucks back in the day. I was just curious what they would go for today.

5.0 out of 5 stars San Jose Rules!, September 15, 2004

They're one of those not-so-many mixture bands of heavy rock and reggae, aren't they? If you like these kinds of music, i'm sure you'll love Asian Dub Foundation's "Rafi's Revenge" as well! They may be too quiet for all you heavy rock lovers but their reggae vocal is awesome! They're sure worth to hear!

Itz gotta be the the advertising or something, these guyz should be huge like P.O.D. Or Limp, they're one of the best bands around, its not easy mixing ragae (cant spell?) hip hop and hard core rock all on one cd. It's perfect for bumpin in your car or wakin up the neighborhood in your house party. when you get this cd your gonna have a hard time keepin your head still.

4.0 out of 5 stars greatest hits album as debut, January 27, 2002
This review is from: Revolution (Audio CD)
if you know anything about insolence, first you'd buy this cd quick. one reason, mando (the drummer) left the group, meaning everything on this cd is rare now.. :) two, if you have their demos then you'd know they pretty much made a greatest hits cd and added afew new tracks and revamped everything else. i think this cd was a good debut but it's not my favorite cd, i bought the import and i'm waiting for it to get here, and i have this one, and i might listen to the import more.
